WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. โ At the age of 14, Dillon Gavinski took his first job as a parking lot attendant for Original Wisconsin Ducksยฎ, embarking on a path that would eventually lead him to roles and responsibilities with many of Wisconsin Dells' most iconic attractions. Now, just over two decades later, he's taking the reins at the area's first and longest-running scenic tour attraction: Dells Boat Toursยฎ.
"This is a tremendous honor and opportunity," said Gavinski. "I have a passion for this company, and an appreciation for the positive impact it's had on both visitors and the Dells community. I'm excited to join the team, add my own insights and skills to the mix, and continue to see it grow and thrive."
After that first job as a Ducks PLA, Gavinski moved into new roles as his age and experience increased. His extensive and diverse attraction background โ a time period that spanned 16 years โ reads like a Wisconsin Dells directory and includes work as a ticket agent, duck driver, jet boat pilot, boat tour guide and captain of the famous Clipper Winnebago, the flagship of the Dells Boat Tours fleet. Later, Gavinski put his leadership skills to work as a fireman and paramedic in Franklin, Wisconsin, an Instructor / Program Manager at Madison College, and Emergency Medical Services Director at the Dells / Delton EMS.
The combination of attraction experience and community service was a big reason why Dells Boat Tours owner/operator Dan Gavinski asked him to take on the GM position. "Our attractions have always been mainstays in Wisconsin Dells; we're proud of them and proud of our home, and we want people on our team who share the same appreciation and mindset. Dillon's track record of professional accomplishments, public service and passion for Dells Boat Tours speaks volumes, and we're thrilled to welcome him aboard."
Dillon Gavinski and his wife Erin โ who he met while he was working as a Jet Boat Adventures pilot in the Lower Dells, where she was selling tickets for the ride โ live in Wisconsin Dells with their three children. He'll officially assume the title and role of Dells Boat Tours General Manager in January, 2026.
