Sooo… this is my office for the week and I am NOT complaining! 😄🏔️ Spending the week in the Smoky Mountains for a technology masterclass and the views are almost as good as the content… ALMOST. 😂 Feeling inspired, energized, and maybe a little spoiled. Who else would trade their desk for this view?! 🙋‍♀️

Yesterday was another full day of meetings and ship tours mixed in with client calls and messages (thanks to the pending storm in MSP)! I even saw my cruise director, Jost, that I sailed with this past summer on Avalon. So many great nuggets of information and so many connections with my partners, all to make it easier for you 😊

Since I was supposed to fly home on Sunday, I changed my flight to head out today so I will make it home before the storm. This was such a great trip, learned so much more this year! Cannot wait to share the river experience with you all.

Today was a busy day! Full panel of cruise line leaders providing updates on their ships and itineraries this morning followed by an afternoon of education sessions, AI, new to the industry Trafalgar River Cruises, and setting up groups.

Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love, came and spoke this morning as well. She was a joy to listen to and really touched on so many great reminders of why I love to travel and why I love to help others travel!

In addition, I think I toured about 6 different ships so haven’t even hit half of them yet 🥴 So much to process and share but all very exciting!! Tomorrow is more of the same 😊

Food tastings today - I was able to dine on the Amadeus and Tauck ships today and both meals were delightful.

Very tired 😴 so time for bed now!!

Embarkation day at the 2026 ASTA River Cruise Expo! 🚢

I’m staying aboard the Riverside Debussy, and I’m already in love with this ship. My cabin is incredibly spacious and thoughtfully designed — featuring a king-size bed (most river ships offer queens), a walk-in closet, a separate desk area, and a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and dual vanity… meaning no fighting for counter space!

While I don’t have a balcony, the large window opens down to let in fresh air and even includes a screen to keep the bugs out — such a smart touch.

The only thing I’m a little sad about? I’m not actually sailing on this beautiful ship! 🥲

Tomorrow kicks off the opening session and a full afternoon of learning. I’ll also be touring several ships while I’m here, so stay tuned as I share insights on Riverside and the other river cruise lines at the expo!
