Off we go to Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester, MI. This beautiful home was built between 1926 and 1929 for Matilda Dodge Wilson, widow of automobile pioneer John Dodge. The Tudor Mansion includes 110 rooms and is 88,000 square feet! A sight to behold!
You will be taken on a grand guided tour of this beautiful Mansion with all its original furnishing, secrets, and history. Afterwards you will sit down to a gourmet lunch in the Meadow Brook Hall Dining Room.
But wait, our day is not over yet! After your lunch and tour, you will have a short ride to Meadow Brook Theatre on the Campus of Oakland University. Where you will see “Come From Away” a true story during the 9/11 attacks, 38 planes and 6,579 passengers were forced to land in Gander, Newfoundland, doubling the population of one small town on the edge of the world. Based on interviews with locals, “Come From Away” is about how hosting this international community of strangers spurred unexpected camaraderie in extraordinary circumstances.
