How lucky are we to get a taste of the Wild West in Shenandoah County, Virginia? 🐂 The dust was flying, the crowd was ready, and the arena was full of energy this past Saturday. Viewers within the stands got to watch bull rides, bronc rides, and fast-paced barrel racing. Some of the toughest competitors and most talented animal athletes on the East Coast joined Tumbling Run Ranch & Rodeo Company in Strasburg for a day of riding and roaring. This year marked the debut of the Women’s Ranch Bronc Riding Division which was a whole new experience of crowd cheers from start to finish. One day at Tumbling Run and we’re feelin’ full on Toby Keith - should’ve been a cowboy 🤠

🌸 From customer to owner — what a story!
On today's episode, Kary from Visit Shenandoah County, Virginia and I visit Jess Steyn at Natural Art Garden Center in Maurertown.

Jess went from being a loyal customer who had her kids pot up little marigolds on Mother's Day... to owning the whole place. She's a former hairdresser, homeschooling mom of three boys, and now a full-time plant lady — and she is absolutely thriving.
We talk about:
🌿 How she and her husband decided to take the leap
🌿 What it's REALLY like learning to run a garden center from scratch
🌿 Why the Christmas trees still get names (yes, really)
🌿 What's blooming right now and what you should be planting

If you love local businesses, community stories, and all things Shenandoah Valley — this one's for you.
