MSC is a private, Catholic junior-senior high school in the tradition of the Brothers of the Sacred

Mount Saint Charles Academy is a coeducational, Catholic, junior-senior high school located in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Founded by the Brothers of The Sacred Heart in 1924, Mount Saint Charles Academy continues a tradition of educational excellence and holistic formation within a caring and supportive faith community. We believe that a student learns through his or her experience of the total school environment. As a result of this belief, we begin with the formation of a school community where, through diverse academic, co-curricular, faith development and service experiences, the whole child can be formed.

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Jill (Savini) Moylan ’95, a beloved alumna, mother of current senior Makenna ’27, and cherished member of our Mount Saint Charles community.

Jill was a special part of the Mount family and will be dearly missed. Her legacy of quiet kindness and love will live on in her three daughters and in the hearts of all who knew her.

Please join us in keeping her daughters, family, and loved ones in your prayers.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Congratulations to Emma MacCartney ’27 on being named a semifinalist for the 2027 Coca-Cola Scholars Program! 🎉

Emma is one of approximately 1,200 semifinalists selected nationwide from more than 113,000 applicants. This prestigious scholarship recognizes students for their academic achievements, leadership, and service.

A little rain couldn’t dampen the fun at our Middle School Fall Fest! 🍂 Our middle schoolers had a blast enjoying cotton candy, playing gaga ball, and having their faces painted.

Monthly middle school events are one of the many ways our students build friendships, make memories, and connect with one another outside the classroom. We love seeing our Mounties come together!

Mountie spirit was on full display at last Friday’s Walkathon! 💙❤️ Students had a great time walking with friends, showing their school pride, and stepping up to support Mount.

For decades, this beloved tradition has brought our community together, and this year was no exception. Thank you to everyone who helped make it a day to remember!

One more Walkathon memory before we hit the road tomorrow! 👟

“I remember looking forward to Walkathon every year as a student. It was one of those special Mount days. A break from the normal routine, a chance to walk alongside friends, laugh, and simply enjoy being together as a school community.

Now, as President, I appreciate that day differently. Walkathon is about much more than the miles we walk. It is about belonging to something bigger than ourselves and generations of Mount students, families, faculty, staff, and alumni coming together for a place that has meant so much to so many of us.

Some of my favorite memories of Mount are not from a classroom or a big event. They are from simple moments spent with friends on days like Walkathon. I hope our students create those same memories this year, and I hope our alumni and friends will join us by making a gift. Every contribution is another way of saying, ‘I’m still walking with the Mount!’”

This year, Mounties have an extra reason to get those final donations in. 10% of the funds raised by each class will go directly to their class account, helping support class events, activities, and experiences throughout the year.
