🎭 52 Things to Do in Nobles County – Experience Community Theater 🎭

There’s just something different about live theater in a small town—and if you’ve ever been to a production at the Reading Community Center, you know exactly what we mean.

This isn’t big-city theater with unfamiliar faces on stage. This is your neighbor. Your coworker. Your kid’s teacher. It’s a full community coming together to create something special—and then packing the room to support it.

From the first line to the final curtain, these productions bring laughter, connection, and a whole lot of hometown pride. And behind the scenes? It’s all powered by local volunteers, late-night rehearsals, and people who just love putting on a show.

✨ It’s not just a performance—it’s an experience.
✨ It’s not just entertainment—it’s community.

Whether you grab a seat in the audience or decide to step on stage yourself, this is one of those “only in a small town” things you don’t want to miss.

👉 Add it to your list.
👉 Bring a friend.
👉 Support local.

Because some of the best stories in Nobles County aren’t just told… they’re performed live. 🎟️👏

🌱 52 Things in 52 Weeks – Toss Some Bags at Chautauqua Park

Spring is starting to peek around the corner, and after a long winter many of us are ready to get outside and play again. One easy way to do that? Grab a set of bags and head to Chautauqua Park for a game of co****le.

It’s simple, fun, and perfect for a sunny afternoon with friends or family. And if you just can’t wait for the weather to fully cooperate, the good news is you can always set up your own boards and practice indoors while we wait for those warmer days.

Sometimes the best way to enjoy spring is the simplest way — just get outside and play.

Worthington has more rhythm than people realize. 💃✨

Between the performances by the Worthington High School Trojan Dance Team, the years of training happening at The Dance Academy - Kay Prunty, Aspire Dance Studio, and Just For Kix (Worthington program), and even pop-up fitness dance classes at the YMCA of Worthington, dance is quietly shaping confidence, teamwork, leadership, and community pride all across town.

From tiny tutus to varsity pom, there’s a full pipeline of talent growing right here.

Recitals fill auditoriums. Halftime shows energize crowds. Studios build discipline and creativity long before those high school performances ever happen.

And honestly? It’s pretty impressive for a community our size.

Now… we’ve got youth covered.
Maybe it’s time we sneak a few more adult dance opportunities onto the calendar too. 😉

52 Things in 52 Weeks | Nobles County Arts Center 🎨

If it’s been a while since you’ve stopped into the Nobles County Arts Center, this is your sign to go back.

The remodeled space feels brighter, more open, and way more inviting than you might remember. It’s not a “walk quietly and don’t touch anything” kind of place—it’s a space meant to be used, explored, and enjoyed.

With rotating exhibits, classes, workshops, and community events, there’s always something new happening. Even if you’re not “an art person,” it’s an easy, low-commitment stop that adds a little creativity to your day and keeps downtown interesting.
