This was The Shapeshifter’s first time on the craft cocktail tour but Theo is a veteran of the tour and their Paper Plane riff did not disappoint. Benny and the Jets, which featured Elijah Craig bourbon was more than just a riff on a modern classic. By adding hints of fig, cinnamon and smoke the cocktail was elevated in a unique and very delicious way.

Our inaugural tour of Franklinton was a huge success!!

Our first stop was Milo’s Deli for Lennon’s “Artsy-Choke” a complex and flavorful cocktail with vegetal and herbal notes featuring Deep Eddy vodka.

The second stop was Sweeney’s Tavern where Conner shared their deliciously-balanced tiki-inspired cocktail “The Banana in Your Pocket” featuring Lunazul tequila.

The last on the tour was the Shapeshifter where Theo created their “Benny and the Jets”, a fantastic smoked Paper Plane riff featuring Elijah Craig bourbon.

All three venues are amazing and deserve your patronage. Get to Franklinton soon and look for our next tour of Franklinton. So good. 😊

The first stop on this weekend’s craft cocktail tour was Soul at the Joseph for Mike’s “Isle of Orchids”, a test run for his entry in 614’s Tiki Week that is happening next week.

The second stop was Wiseguy Lounge for Jared’s inventive “Stock and Barrel” featuring Whistle Pig PiggyBack rye. This cocktail is currently in development for their next menu.

Dragon of the West was bright and floral, with some citrus notes and had a beautiful silky finish. The Deep Eddy vodka tied it all together to make a great cocktail and win this weekend’s fan favorite cocktail.
