Doing things a little different this year. At age 63 I started planning things not to build a big business but to enjoy.
I love fishing and meeting people so being a fishing guide since 1994, has been good but fishing for non-residents chartering changed.
As the fish numbers sometimes go down and the number of fishermen go up, things need to change and have.
King salmon……one a year
Lingcod……………..one a year
Yelloweye rock fish….one a year
Halibut….one baby 34”or less a day and you pay $20 more dollars to do that.
Can a non- resident still go fishing? yes! But your mind set may need to change. Catch and release in a lot of counties and states is already here.

Fish Wrangell still going in 2026 but with changes to how I fish with this year’s rules.

Rules for halibut this year, 34” little fish and under with a $20. Add to go fishing for halibut. I will NOT be doing halibut charters. Catch and release only for halibut hooked.

That said; Rock fish, Ling cod and salmon are still a go,when open.

White king salmon for dinner. Yummy! Good catch James.
