Forecasts, smorecasts—here’s some weekend ideas:

Stop at Oceanic for fresh seafood and ocean views.

Head to Roberts Grocery and explore this Wrightsville Beach icon (their homemade chicken salad and pimento cheese are to die for)

Out on the beach and it’s starting to rain? You can still have your toes in the sand under Crystal Pier or Johnnie Mercers Pier Fishing Friends while you take shelter.

Oftentimes, even if there’s rain in the forecast later in the day, first thing in the morning still offers relatively clear skies for gorgeous ocean sunrises.

Just like sunrises on the beach, if you’ve got a little patience, you can see some of the most beautiful sunsets over the sound with the perfect combination of sun and clouds.

🪰 Venus flytraps and pitcher plants were spotted at the Wrightsville Beach Farmers Market 👀

Next time you’re there (every Monday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.), come see Richard Jones, with Venus Flytraps Jones. Richard is a local Venus flytrap and pitcher plant expert who has a long history with the plants and is licensed to legally sell and grow them.

Did you know Venus flytraps are native only within 70 miles of Wilmington, NC?

The countdown is on! 🍻 We’re getting our pretzel necklaces ready for the Lighthouse Beer & Wine Festival this weekend. A good cause paired with a great event is exactly what we need. 💛

It all started with Lighthouse Beer & Wine, the Wrightsville Beach bottle shop that turned a love of craft brews into one of the region’s favorite festivals. Check out our ultimate guide so you can sip, snack, and celebrate like a pro!
