🇺🇸“Discover the stories that helped build a nation in Wytheville”🇺🇸

When we tell the story of Edith Bolling Wilson, it's important to include that Wytheville is her birthplace, and her home (now the museum) is one of only eight in the entire country dedicated to a United States First Lady.
Here is the list of all eight sites throughout the country.

We hope you can join us today as we welcome Run for the Wall to Wytheville, as we have for the last 25 years. 🇺🇸
Today's weather looks great for their arrival (approx. 4pm) in Withers Park, but please note the location change for tomorrow morning's ceremony.

🇺🇸 Wytheville proudly welcomes back Run For The Wall on Wednesday and Thursday, May 20th and 21st! 🇺🇸
Join us in Withers Park at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday to greet these cross-country riders as they arrive on their mission of healing and remembrance. After a welcome ceremony, they'll parade down Main Street to their hotels — a sight you won't want to miss.
Then at 7:00 p.m., return to Withers Park for a candlelight remembrance ceremony, hosted by the Wall of Honor Committee. This moving tribute honors those who gave their lives in service — from World War I through Vietnam — and includes a candle lighting in their memory.
On Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m., Spiller Elementary students will provide a musical farewell before Run for the Wall rolls out once more down Main Street.
Let’s come together to show our support and gratitude — because in Wytheville, we remember, and we welcome them home.
