🌲 Did You Know? 🌲
Rocky Ridge County Park holds a special place in our hearts—and our history! It was the very first park in the York County Parks system and remains a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.

🏞️ The name "Rocky Ridge" wasn’t chosen by officials—it came from a “Name the Park” contest! The winning entry was submitted by Kerry Flinchbaugh, a student at William Penn High School at the time. It’s a fitting name, too—with rocky outcrops and boulders dotting the landscape throughout the park.

✨ What makes Rocky Ridge so beloved?
✔️ Scenic views of the Susquehanna Valley
✔️ Miles of multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding
✔️ Picnic pavilions perfect for a day out

Thanks to a collaboration between us, Cultural Alliance of York County, York County Economic Alliance, and the York County Trail Towns program. Whether you're a local or a visitor, it's now easier than ever to explore the incredible creativity that fills our community—from murals and sculptures to installations and historical works.
