We have your students' next favorite field trip-- educational, interactive, and unlike anywhere else! 🧶✨

Step inside the Teaching Museum for the Fiber Arts and Textiles and discover how wool, alpaca fleece, and other natural fibers are transformed into beautiful works of art. Students can experience hands-on demonstrations, explore a one-of-a-kind teaching museum, meet fiber animals, and learn the history, science, and creativity behind textiles in an engaging, memorable way. The Center welcomes school groups, homeschool families, Scouts, youth organizations, and more with field trips that can be tailored to your group.

They also host fun events! On Saturday, September 5, 2026, you can attend their Slow Fashion event at Marketview Arts. It's free admission for a day full of learning about a new craft. Explore the process of how clothing is made by hand vs. fast fashion by modern technology. There's even a fashion show at 12:30 p.m.!

❗ Call for Vendors❗We're celebrating America’s 250th birthday all year long, and we want you to get in on the fun! We’re inviting our partners and local businesses to take part in a once-in-a-generation event.

You're invited to participate (for free) as vendors at the History Made Here Cultural Fair on October 2, 2026!

We’re looking for organizations that want to showcase their business through demonstrations or interactive experiences that highlight the most exciting parts of what they do. Food & drink, historical sites, boutiques, cultural exhibits, and more-- all are welcome to sign up!

Cultural Event Details:
📍 Downtown York-- Pershing Ave across from the York County History Center
📅 October 2, 2026
⏰ Vendor Setup: 2:30–3:30 p.m.
🎉 Event Time: 4–6:30 p.m.
