The California Welcome Center ~ Yucca Valley will be closed on Saturday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

We hope everyone enjoys a fun and safe holiday as we celebrate our country’s 250th anniversary!

We’ll reopen with regular hours on Sunday, July 5th.

Two Literary Gatherings on May 30

As part of its ongoing efforts to position Twentynine Palms as a growing destination for readers, writers, and cultural travelers, Desert General is pleased to present two literary events on Saturday, May 30, in collaboration with Desert Salon, Sky's The Limit Observatory and P.O. Box Outer Space bringing together poetry, fiction, music, and storytelling across two distinctive High Desert locations.

Start your weekend surrounded by nature, fresh air, and beautiful bird sightings. This free, family-friendly bird walk is open to everyone and takes place on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

Loaner binoculars are available. Please bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and shoes suitable for uneven terrain.
