The 2027 Residency: August 10 – August 29, 2027
This is a journey of two halves, designed for the discerning traveler who values both depth and relaxation:

The Cultural Heart: 13 days in the village of Ubud, where we live amongst the arts, temples, and culinary traditions that define the island’s spirit.

The Coastal Retreat: 5 days of 5-star beachfront luxury, curated for reflection and refinement.

The Experience: Seven days of private, guided excursions covering Balinese arts, sacred ceremonies, and hidden culinary gems, balanced with ten days of "Free Time" for personal discovery.

🌴 Bali Essentials: What to Expect
Bali is a sensory experience. It is beautiful and spiritual, but it can also be chaotic and humid.

The "Bali Belly" Factor: Do not drink tap water (even for brushing teeth if you have a sensitive stomach). Stick to bottled or filtered water.

Money Matters: The local currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). While big cafes and hotels take cards, small local shops and "warungs" are cash-only.

Bali Money: Color Guide
Tip: Sort your wallet by color. Check the zeros before you pay!

🔴 RED (100k) = $6.50 (Big bills / Dinner)

🔵 BLUE (50k) = $3.25 (The most common / Lunch)

🟢 GREEN (20k) = $1.30 (Coconuts / Short rides)

🟣 PURPLE (10k) = $0.65 (Water / Small snacks)

🟡 YELLOW (5k) = $0.33 (Parking / Tips)

🔘 GREY (2k) = $0.13 (Small change)

Connectivity: Suggest they download Grab or Gojek (the local Ubers). These are life-savers for food delivery and transport.

Temple Etiquette: Both men and women must wear a sarong and cover their shoulders when entering temples.

The Sidewalk Offerings: You’ll see small palm-leaf baskets (Canang Sari) on the ground everywhere. They are beautiful—try not to step on them!

🍃 The Village of Ubud: Your Home Base
Ubud isn't just a village; it’s a lifestyle. It’s significantly more laid-back than the beach clubs of the south, but the traffic can be surprising.

The Vibe: High-energy wellness. Expect yoga studios, vegan cafes, and art galleries on every corner.

Ubud Monkey Forest: It’s iconic but travelers be warned: the monkeys are professional thieves. Keep sunglasses, phones, and snacks zipped deep inside bags.

Ubud Art Market: The place for silk scarves, handmade baskets, and wood carvings. Pro Tip: Bargain! It’s expected. Start at about 50% of the quoted price and meet in the middle.

Campuhan Ridge Walk: A gorgeous, paved walk through the hills. Best done at 6:00 AM to beat the heat and the crowds.
