Day 4 of the San Diego to Pittsburgh trip was a rough one. High wind gusts then add snow showers then heavy squalls caused many delays in fields and at airports. But, we eventually arrived safely, in the snow and wind, with almost 25 hours of flight time for the trip.

Day 3 of San Diego to Pittsburgh trip made very little progress. Rain, low ceilings and windy conditions had us sitting and waiting a lot. We still managed to make it from Neosho MO and across the Mississippi to Sparta IL. Many course adjustments and even a couple field landings were necessary to recalculate.

Day 2 of San Diego to Pittsburgh trip wasn’t quite as productive. Went from Carlsbad NM to Neosho MO. A solid wall of fog delayed and then diverted us right around the TX and OK border, as we were trying to go to Lawton. We did see a herd of buffalo in OK. The auto pilot is working great and is a nice helpful feature on long flights.
