Traveling to London and Paris with kids is very different from a relaxing beach vacation. There is so much to see and do, and it’s tempting to fill every minute with sightseeing. We learned that lesson firsthand!

Here’s how we spent four nights in London and four nights in Paris, what we loved, what we would do differently, and my best advice for planning a London and Paris family vacation.

One of my favorite parts of being a travel advisor? Hearing from happy clients when they return home! 💙

Twin sisters recently returned from Croatia, where they explored beautiful islands, historic towns, and the stunning Adriatic coastline. They combined two of my favorite Croatian destinations, Hvar and Dubrovnik, with stops in smaller coastal towns along the way.

In Hvar, they stayed at Adriana Hvar Spa Hotel, a waterfront location within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the harbor. In Dubrovnik, they received an incredible upgrade to Villa Argentina, where the breathtaking views and exceptional staff.

Paris is always a good idea... especially when you have an itinerary packed with iconic sights, incredible art, and charming neighborhoods! 🇫🇷

The Walton family Paris adventure started with a stay at Hotel Esprit Saint Germain, located within walking distance of so much of the city.

From there, they checked off some Paris must-sees: a skip-the-line tour of the Musée d’Orsay, an underground journey through the Paris Catacombs, and a guided climb of the Eiffel Tower. I especially love the Eiffel Tower climb because you get to experience the tower from the inside as you make your way up - and appreciate the architecture along the way.

They also explored Montmartre, one of my favorite neighborhoods for experiencing a different side of Paris. Think winding streets, cafés and shops, and beautiful views over the city. While there, they visited Sacré-Cœur and climbed nearly 300 steps to the dome for an even better view.

And there was plenty more Paris to see: the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the incredible stained glass of Sainte-Chapelle, and, of course, the Louvre.
