It is every Scouts dream to go on an adventure of a lifetime. To live a week on a wildlife filled scout reserve surrounded by Canadian hardwood forest as far as the eyes can see. A place where scouts go “STAR” hiking, sailing, snorkeling, canoeing, camping, kayaking, and share special friendships with other scouts from other distant communities. Outdoor adventures provide scout’s with memories to last a lifetime.
This summer Zionsville’s Troop 358 is going to Haliburton Scout Reserve in Canada on Kennagi Lake. 55 scouts and volunteers will make the trek about 150 miles north of Toronto. The majority of the cost is transportation and, of course, food; a Scout’s got to eat! Participating Scouts are working to lower the cost by hosting three pancake breakfasts at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, a Pancake Breakfast Bonanza for the whole family.
March 3, 17, and April 15. See you there and get there early.
