What happens when you turn the world upside down? 🌍

Right in the heart of London, artist did exactly that.

But this giant globe is more than a striking piece of public art. For me, it also feels like a rather fitting symbol of London: a city shaped by people from all over the world, where different perspectives, cultures and stories meet every day.

Sometimes, all it takes is looking at the world a little differently. 😉

Another London curiosity hiding in plain sight.

What if I told you there’s a little corner of London where you can step back in time? ⏳🇬🇧

Hidden away near the Royal Courts of Justice, you’ll find quiet alleyways, historic buildings and even a hidden pub — all just moments away from some of London’s busiest streets.

London is full of places you could easily walk past without knowing the stories hiding behind them.
Next time you’re here, let me show you a few.

A very special day at BBC Broadcasting House in London! 📺🎙️

I had the pleasure of taking part in the Open House Festival 2026, sharing some of the stories behind this iconic building and its place in British broadcasting history.

The history of radio, television and the web is one of my great passions, and one of my specialist subjects as a London guide — so being able to share the story of the BBC headquarters was a real treat.

Thank you to everyone who joined me on the day! ❤️

And if broadcasting history is your thing too, come and discover more with Roberto Walks London.

George III and Queen Charlotte were crowned in the Abbey in 1761. They travelled from St James’s Palace to Westminster Hall in sedan chairs and proceeded to the Abbey for the service at 11am, passing spectators lining the route. The procession and ceremony lasted so long that the crowning did not occur until 3:30pm, after which a lavish banquet was held in Westminster Hall.

🍵 Tea lover? There’s one London stop you shouldn’t miss.

At 216 Strand, you’ll find a little doorway with more than 300 years of history behind it.

Thomas Twining began selling tea here in 1706, at a time when tea was becoming an increasingly important part of British life.

The shop is still there today — a fascinating reminder of how London’s streets can hide centuries of history in plain sight.

Another London story worth stopping for.
