Taste the Heritage of the Khans of Khorezm!
On 19–20 September 2026, Khiva will become a celebration of flavors, traditions, and culinary heritage at the 2nd International Gastronomic Festival “National Dishes of the Khans of Khorezm”, held at the Arda Khiva tourist complex.
Imagine discovering the tastes of ancient Khorezm through more than 20 traditional local dishes — from tukhum barak, shivit oshi and k*k barak to manti, gumma, ijjon, kazan-kebab, jigar-kebab, patyr, bogirsok and katlama.
And the journey goes beyond Khorezm!
Guests will also experience traditional dishes from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, India, China, the Republic of Korea and Italy.
The festival will also feature exciting gastronomic competitions, with valuable prizes and cash awards for the winners.
For us, travel is not only about seeing ancient cities — it is about tasting, meeting, experiencing, and connecting with the living culture of Uzbekistan.
