Preparations for the first summit between ‘Central Asia and the European Union’, which will take place in Samarkand on 3 and 4 April.

The summit, chaired by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will be attended by the President of the European Council, António Costa, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
