Статья опубликована на английском языке и основана на масштабном исследовании, проведённом фондом Soviet Mosaics Fund (sovietmosaicfund.com) из России. Исследование продолжалось несколько месяцев и включает интервью с родственниками заслуженных авторов этого монументального произведения.

I'm really excited to share our new article, showcasing a 2000 square meters Soviet Mosaic in Moscow! In it, we explore the vision of the artwork (it's one of the largest mosaics in the world), as well as it's meaning and creation process.

The article is in English, based on extensive research by the Soviet Mosaics Fund (sovietmosaicfund.com) from Russia. The study took multiple months and includes interviews with relatives of the honoured authors.

Tucked away on the facade of the historic Nur-Sultan 1 (Astana-1) railway station, these vibrant mosaics offer a colorful glimpse into the city’s Soviet past.

While the capital has rapidly modernized with futuristic architecture, these panels remain a striking example of Socialist Realist monumental art. The four vertical panels depict the idealized pillars of Soviet society: progression and science (with cosomonauts and engineers), society (a happy Soviet family) and the army.
