There’s nothing quite as valuable as a shared experience when considering yacht ownership and charter management ⛵️

Jamie Brown is currently on his fourth yacht bought through Horizon Yacht Sales and placed into charter management in the BVI fleet. He reflects on the last 24 years of Caribbean yacht ownership and the lessons learned in a recent blog post.

Jamie’s top 3 takeaways are:
1. Professional management is essential.
2. Guaranteed income contracts rarely result in better-maintained boats than those in the Maximum Income or Active Management charter programmes.
3. Above all, ownership should come from a love of sailing.
