Introducing Bidoup Nui Ba National Park
The park is named after the two highest mountains Lang Biang Plateau is Bidoup (2.287m) and Nui Ba (2,167m). Bidoup Nui Ba National Park Ecosystem is one of the four national biodiversity centers, including the typical forest types of the South Central Highlands, the Southeast, and one of 221 unique bird species in the world. The Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, with an area of 70,000ha, is the core zone of the 275.439ha Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve, which was recognized by UNESCO as Vietnam's ninth biosphere reserve in June. / 2015.
Flora has 1,923 species with 96 endemic species and 62 rare species such as: red pine, flat florets, five leaves of Dalat, muntjac, leek tea, Langbiang rhododendron, ... and the "kingdom of Vietnamese orchids" with 297 species.
The fauna includes 398 species, including rare species such as: small llamas, black-shanked douc langur, yellow-cheeked crested gibbon, sun bear, black bear, fire-bellied fox, gaur, chamois, frog vampires ... Especially 301 bird species have been recorded: mi Langbiang, gray-cheeked gray-cheeked cheek, yellow throat swallowtail, limebird, cross bird ...
The buffer zone of Bidoup Nui Ba National Park is also a long-term residence of indigenous peoples, with a prominent K'Ho community with its own cultural practices, including gong culture. Highlands.
