One of the most common questions we receive is how much walking is involved on a Pandaw journey. The answer depends on the itinerary and the excursions you choose to join, but in general, our voyages are designed for travelers who can walk for 20 minutes at a time. Most excursions involve leisurely walks through the village and cultural sites with plenty of opportunities to pause, take photos, and soak in the surroundings.

For guests who prefer a more relaxed pace, many excursions can be adapted, and there is always the option to stay onboard and enjoy the passing scenery from the comfort of the ship. One of the advantages of small-ship river cruising is that you're often able to dock much closer to the places you're visiting, reducing the need for long transfers and allowing more time to enjoy the destination itself.

Did you know that Pandaw was the first river cruise line to connect Vietnam and Cambodia back in 2003? That journey was considered audacious at the time, but we did not stop there.
