📝Overcoming bottlenecks, Dak Lak tourism positions its brand through unique identity

To create a real breakthrough for the tourism industry, Dak Lak is addressing slow-moving projects, attracting large resort complexes that meet international star standards; and shaping tourism products with unique characteristics.

After a year of expanding its forest and coastal areas, Dak Lak is finding initial solutions to the difficult problem of scale and depth of tourism experiences. Many large resort projects are being promoted; investment bottlenecks are being considered and removed; and connectivity shows positive signs.

🩵💚 Lak Lake - The largest and most beautiful natural freshwater lake in the Central Highlands.

📍 Lak Lake is located approximately 56km south of the center of Buon Ma Thuot ward. Tourists visiting Dak Lak can travel along National Highway 27, crossing Lac Thien Pass for about 10km to reach Lak Lake.

🌊 With an area of ​​over 500 hectares, Lak Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the Central Highlands and the second largest in Vietnam, after Ba Be Lake.

Located in Hamlet 4, Krong B**g Commune, Thanh Nien Stream is considered one of the most pristine destinations in Dak Lak Province.

Sourced from the Chu Yang Sin mountain range, Thanh Nien Stream is notable for its clear blue water winding through rocky outcrops, creating numerous small pools amidst a relatively unspoiled primary forest. The peaceful scenery and diverse ecosystem make it an ideal destination for picnics, swimming, and camping, especially during the dry season from December to April. Recognizing its potential for scenic beauty and nature experiences, the local authorities are planning to develop Thanh Nien Stream into an ecotourism area linked to community culture, contributing to the socio-economic development of the area. 🥰

"By merging highland culture with pristine coastal tourism, the province has set out an ambitious plan to become a distinctive service hub and unique destination for both domestic and international travellers.

The merger of the former Phu Yen Province, with its long pristine coastline, into Đắk Lắk, home to towering mountains and dense forests, has opened up greater potential for tourism development in the region.

Đắk Lắk has set out a development vision for both areas, positioning tourism and services as key drivers of growth in its mountain forests and seaside villages. The vision forms a key focus in the newly approved resolution on the province’s adjusted planning for the 2021–30 period."

This morning, May 28, 2026, in Tuy Hoa ward, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a seminar on tourism development in Dak Lak province for the period 2026-2030.

Approximately 50 delegates representing agencies, units, universities, businesses, and wards/communes in the Eastern part of the province attended the seminar.

The seminar focused on discussing and evaluating the current state of tourism development in the province; analyzing potential, advantages, difficulties, and challenges in the new context; and contributing to the development of the Dak Lak provincial tourism development plan for the period 2026-2030, with a vision to 2050. 🥰
