📣 FME TRAVEL IS RECRUITING TOUR GUIDE COLLABORATORS 2026!

The Mekong Delta is more than rivers, orchards, and craft villages. It is a place shaped by stories of culture, communities, and everyday life - stories that deserve to be experienced and shared.
At FME Travel, we are looking for Tour Guide Collaborators in Can Tho and the Mekong region to join us on upcoming journeys and grow with our team.

We are looking for people who:
- Have a genuine interest in travel, local culture, and the Mekong Delta.
- Want to explore and develop their skills in tour guiding through hands-on experience.
- Are proactive, responsible, adaptable, and eager to learn.
- Enjoy engaging with and creating meaningful experiences for guests.
- Have foreign language skills - an advantage, especially for working with international guests.

Experience is not a must. FME Travel provides training, knowledge sharing, and opportunities to participate in real tours, allowing you to gain practical experience, strengthen your guiding skills, and better understand tourism through direct engagement with local communities and guests.

🎒 LEARN THROUGH EXPERIENCE - UNDERSTAND THROUGH REAL LIFE

Some lessons stay with students longer when they can see, practice and experience things for themselves, rather than learning only from textbooks.

When knowledge is placed in a real-world context, students have the opportunity to observe how things work, ask questions, try things out and connect what they have learned with the world around them.

FME Travel brings learning beyond the classroom through hands-on experiences. Recently, 100+ Viet Anh School students explored Son Islet in Can Tho, making banh xeo and traditional cakes with local community members and learning about floating fish farming, local culture and river-based livelihoods.

For FME, an Educational Tour should be built around the school's learning objectives, with each experience offering something meaningful for students to discover:

RECAP | VIET ANH SCHOOL - A DAY OF LEARNING AND DISCOVERY IN SON ISLET

On August 21, 2026, students from Viet Anh School spent a day learning and exploring Son Islet in Can Tho. The trip gave them the opportunity to observe, take part in hands-on activities, and learn directly about the daily life of the local community.

Rather than simply learning about Mekong Delta culture and cuisine in the classroom, the students met local residents and took part in activities closely connected to everyday life:
🐟 Watched the “flying snakehead fish” performance and learned about traditional fish farming on the Hau River.
🥞 Made their own banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancakes), from preparing and cooking the pancakes to enjoying them with fresh garden vegetables.
🌿 Made banh la mit (jackfruit leaf cakes) and banh kep with local residents while learning about the stories and traditions behind these local treats.
🍈 Explored the fruit gardens and enjoyed seasonal fruits fresh from the farm.

The experience gave students a deeper understanding of Mekong Delta culture through real-life interactions with local communities - reflecting FME Travel’s approach to Educational Tours: learning beyond the classroom through authentic local experiences.

📅 As part of ITE HCMC 2026, at the seminar "Discovering New Sustainable Tourism Products in Vietnam & Connecting Businesses to Expand Market Opportunities" organized by the ST4SD Project, Ms. Tăng Thị Huyền Trân - Founder & CEO of FME Travel (Fabulous Mekong Ecotours) - joined the panel discussion "Bringing Community-Based Tourism Products from Destinations to the Market", representing tourism businesses from Đồng Tháp alongside representatives from Bản Khun (Tuyên Quang) and Danang Green Stay (Đà Nẵng).

According to Ms. Trân, sustainable tourism development is not simply about creating a new tourism product. More importantly, it is about keeping local value within the product itself, ensuring that communities are actively involved in creating that value, and giving local stories the opportunity to reach wider domestic and international markets.
