UN MATIN TOUT SIMPLEMENT INOUBLIABLE TOBY
Ce matin… ce n’était pas juste une excursion.
C’était… un moment vrai.🤩🤩🤩🤩
Départ tôt vers le marché flottant, pas de mise en scène, juste la vie qui commence doucement sur le fleuve.
Puis… un instant simple, mais parfait.Un petit bateau. Un bol de hủ tiếu bien chaud.
La vapeur dans l’air frais du matin…
Mon client français goûte…
il s’arrête… me regarde…
“Wow… Toby… c’est vraiment bon.”
Pas exagéré. Pas touristique.
Juste sincère.Et puis… ce sourire. Le vrai.
On continue dans les petits canaux…calmes, verts, presque secrets…Ici, le temps ralentit. On respire.
Et moi… je parle encore trop 😄
Mais ici, ça fait partie du moment.
Pas de scénario. Pas d’artifice. Juste des souvenirs vrais.

THANK YOU FROM TOBY – THIS MORNING WAS SOMETHING ELSE.🥰🥰🥰
So… the alarm rang at 5:30 AM.
Still sleepy… a bit quiet… But then we got on the boat , and boom the Mekong slowly woke up with us.
We reached the floating market…Not busy, not noisy like you imagine.
Just a few small boats… floating, waiting, living their normal morning.
And somehow, that made it even more special.
Then… the magic started .
A mango boat came by…Toby.
You tried one bite, then another.And suddenly, “WOW, THIS IS THE BEST MANGO EVER!”.ahaha😂😂😂😂 And that was it.
From that moment, non-stop laughing. Really… laughing until we couldn’t stop.
Then we left the river.And slipped quietly into those small green canals .
Everything became slow again.
Just water, coconut trees, and that peaceful Mekong feeling.

This is not just a morning. This is a memory I will keep for a long time.
Hope one day.We meet again. Somewhere.

we crossed the big river to Son Island, a peaceful green place where time moves slowly. The kids had so much fun picking fresh coconuts and exploring the island paths. Simple moments like that always bring the biggest smiles.
We started the day very early together, when the river was still calm and the sky was slowly waking up. Cruising to the Cai Rang Floating Market, we watched local boats trading fruits and vegetables just like they have done for generations. The kids were curious, the parents were smiling, and the Mekong morning felt full of life.
One of my favorite memories from the trip was when we went deep into the jungle canals. Our boat moved quietly through the water covered with bright green duckweed. It felt like entering a secret world of the Mekong , calm, mysterious, and beautifully wild. Everyone was just enjoying the silence of nature and the fresh air.
And of course, we shared a true countryside lunch, cooked by local people the way they prepare meals for their own families. Nothing fancy, just honest Mekong flavors and a warm table full of laughter.
During these days together, there were so many smiles, funny moments, and beautiful little memories.
For me as a local guide, moments like these are the reason why I truly love my job.
Thank you again for your trust and kindness.
It was my real honor to take care of your family and share a small part of my home, the Mekong Delta.

PHONG DIEN CAN THO is the MOST LOCAL & AUTHENTIC FLOATING MARKET in Mekong Delta.
Located about 20 kms from center of CANTHO city. Its an amazing market for Locals, and real Mekong culture. It is getting smaller day by day .
Seeing traders come together on boats to sell their local products as fruits, vegetables. Despite the small size , it is well worth a visit if you are planing to stay in or around Cantho.
TOBY MEKONG GUIDE would like to tell you that there are 2 ways to get to the floating market.
1- Take a car/ taxi to go there, and then find and take a local sampan and enjoy it 🥰.
2- This is better way that you take a local boat in the early morning from Ninh Kiều habour 4AM - Center city. Then enjoy sunrise, Mekong lifestyle, floating market, small green canals, and TOBY guide.😁.
