"Tức Dụp" hill (2 million dollars hill) in Cô Tô mountain, Tri Tôn district, An Giang province.

Chau Doc is a city of An Giang province, bordering Cambodia, in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam.
The city is located by the Hâu River (a branch of the Mekong River flowing through Vietnamese territory) and Vinh Te canal. Châu Đốc is situated 250 km west of Hồ Chí Minh City. It takes about six hours to travel by bus from Hồ Chí Minh City.
The site of Châu Đốc was long in history a territory of the Kingdom of Funan. The territory became Vietnam’s about 300 years ago. The town is near the picturesque mount of Sam where the Sam mount lady is worshipped. The Sam Mount Lady Ceremony is held every April of lunar calendar (May) every year.

Tour "Tra Su" Forest.
This sanctuary is located about 20 km from Chau Doc and covers an area of approximately 850 hectares. A wide variety of colorful birds and other animals can be found here: storks, bats, snakes, turtles … Particularly interesting to watch are birds that can walk on water.
The locals in this area built their houses with bamboo canes and fastened the roofs in trees. During the Vietnam War, the Tra Su forest Cajuput was a base of revolutionaries.
If you want to visit the protected area you should plan in at least 3 hours. The tour through the habitats can be done by motor boat, rowing boat and by foot. From a high observation deck you will have a beautiful view over the mountains in the area, the expanses of mangrove forests and numerous birds.
