There is a very special beach called Ice Cream Beach, also known as Kem Beach on Phu Quoc island, Vietnam. The beach is just about two kilometers from An Thoi Town and 25 kilometers from Duong D**g Town. Hidden behind a green forest, the beach with white sand and crystal clear (or blue ocean) water offers an ideal hideaway for those who would like to be away from all the noise and crowded destinations. Also, you will have a chance to meet and enjoy having conversations with local fishermen that are friendly, sincere, rustic, and hospitable. Along the beach, you will see a lot of bamboo fishing boats. In the morning, there is local fish market but it might not be around for much longer as the entire Kem Beach is being redeveloped, therefore, see it while you can! Coming to the beach, you can enjoy freshest seafood dishes which are priced much more affordable compare to the seafood dishes in Duong D**g town. This is the best place to try Herring salad – a raw seafood salad served with platter of accompanying vegetables and sauce.
