Beyond a Journey: How We Protect Son Tra Together || Have you ever wondered about the real impact behind every HIVOOC tour?
Today, we want to share the story of our core values and our ongoing community project, "Voọc ơi mình đi đâu thế" (Where are we going, Langur?).
🌿 A Free Community Project Powered by Deep Expertise: Although "Voọc ơi mình đi đâu thế" is a completely free nature education program designed for the community, it is operated with the highest level of professionalism and dedication. The entire itinerary is directly researched, designed, and organized by a team of domestic and international experts, alongside HIVOOC's own specialists.
Each journey acts as a true outdoor science class that is guided directly by conservationists and researchers. Participants are provided with high-quality equipment, including specialized binoculars, telescopes, telephoto cameras, and even microscopes, to observe the red-shanked douc langurs and the surrounding ecosystem in incredible detail.
💚 Your Direct Contribution to Nature:
We organize 10 to 12 of these free trips every year without calling for outside donations or sponsorships. The funding comes directly from our loyal customers. For every commercial tour or nature experience service you book, HIVOOC commits to deducting 120,000 VND directly from our revenue to reinvest in this project and other conservation efforts. By choosing to travel with HIVOOC, you are actively sharing a part of the profit to nurture projects that benefit the community and protect the environment.
🦍 Transforming Lives for Conservation:
HIVOOC's operations are strictly designed around the global 4C sustainable development principles: Customer Experiences, Conservation, Community, and Commercial Sustainability. One of our most inspiring community achievements is our collaboration with the local trackers, known as the "Thổ địa Sơn Trà" (Son Tra locals). These local trackers have spent decades in the forest and possess an incredibly sharp, instinctive ability to observe and find wildlife.
In the past, many of them were hunters or foragers who relied on exploiting the forest's resources to make a living. Today, they have chosen to leave behind those practices and have become our powerful companions, dedicating themselves to protecting the beauty of Son Tra for future generations.
At HIVOOC, we firmly believe that you cannot protect what you do not love, and you cannot love what you have never truly understood. Our ultimate goal is to build and connect a community that deeply understands nature, and from there, joins hands to protect it.
