Rare visitors have arrived in Hội An || April 2026, the HIVOOC team recorded:
• 1 Eurasian Spoonbill
• 2 Black-faced Spoonbills
right here in Hoi An

These are not just rare birds. They are indicators of ecosystem health.

Their presence tells a deeper story:
👉 Wetlands still matter
👉 conservation still works
👉 and nature still responds

At HIVOOC, every sighting is not a moment —
It’s a message.

𝑬𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒂𝒎 𝑽𝒐𝒍.5: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 🕊️

The Common Coot (Fulica atra) doesn't just take flight; it performs a high-energy "dance" across the surface. Because their feet are lobed rather than fully webbed, these birds must "run" on water to build the momentum needed for takeoff -creating a rhythmic splash that echoes through the wetlands.

A powerful moment of survival turned into a graceful masterpiece.

Conference: "Conserving Endangered & Rare Plant Species in Vietnam - Current Status and Future Prospects" 🌿
/𝑇𝑖𝑒̂́𝑛𝑔 𝑉𝑖𝑒̣̂𝑡 𝑜̛̉ 𝑝ℎ𝑎̂̀𝑛 𝑏𝑖̀𝑛ℎ 𝑙𝑢𝑎̣̂𝑛/

HiVooc was honored to participate in a high-level conference organized by Fauna & Flora (FFI) in collaboration with the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve Management Board from April 22nd to 24th, 2026.

The event brought together nearly 150 delegates, including representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, UNESCO Vietnam, MAB Vietnam, National Parks, Research Institutes, and leading enterprises in Forestry and Tourism across the country.

Key discussions focused on assessing the current conservation status of endangered plants, analyzing management challenges, and proposing innovative solutions for a greener future.

Representing HiVooc, our CEO, Mr. Bui Van Tuan, presented a pioneering initiative: "Nature-based Tourism Models Integrated with Conservation and Local Livelihood Development." Our model emphasizes:
✨ High-Value Conservation Tourism: Transitioning toward premium, low-impact products that prioritize nature as the core experience.
🤝 Community-Centric Approach: Empowering local communities as primary beneficiaries and active contributors to conservation efforts.
🌱 Sustainability: Shifting perceptions to create value without the need for mass tourism.

The conference concluded with an inspiring field trip to Pu Mat National Park, where we explored Kem Waterfall, visited rare medicinal plant cultivation models under the forest canopy, and engaged with community-based tourism in the buffer zone.

Together, we are redefining the harmony between high-end travel and wildlife preservation. 🌍🐒

🌼 What if no father knows which baby is his… yet all of them protect it? 🌼
In March, the forests of Son Tra Peninsula turn gold.

The Lim xẹt (Peltophorum pterocarpum) trees lose their leaves, leaving only tender shoots and bright yellow flowers — the favorite food of the Red-shanked douc langur.

And suddenly… they appear. A family. Then another.
Sometimes five families at once — or even a group of 15 males moving silently through the canopy.

No loud calls. No territorial fights. Just a quiet, shared world.

But here’s the secret: Female doucs don’t choose just one mate.

By mating with multiple males — leaders, outsiders, even neighbors — they create one powerful illusion: No male knows which infant is his.

So instead of conflict… all males protect all babies.

In this forest, survival is not about dominance. It’s about cooperation.

🌿 Wildlife is not just something you see. It’s something you begin to understand.

1,000+ REASONS TO CELEBRATE! 🐒✨

Incredible news from Khanh Hoa: A thriving population of over 1,000 Black-shanked Douc Langurs has just been discovered!

In a world where many primates are on the brink of extinction, finding such a large and healthy colony is a massive win for Vietnam’s biodiversity. This discovery doesn't just give us hope - nurturing and protecting these "monks of the forest" is now more critical than ever.

The wild is still full of wonders. Let’s make sure they stay that way.

"I am very impressed with the service provided by HIVOOC. All the staffs were attentive and truly dedicated to help me capture the beautiful photos I had envisioned. I had the chance to witness the stunning beauty of the red-shanked douc langur and Son Tra Mountain, the kindness of the people in Da Nang

Inauguration of Da Nang’s First 3 AI-Powered Bird Listening Stations & "Song Dam: Land of Peace, Home of Birds" Photo Exhibition.

On the afternoon of April 18, 2026, at Tam Ky Square, the official inauguration ceremony was held for the first three AI-powered bird listening stations installed at three key locations in Da Nang: Vuon Cua, the Digital Library, and Song Dam.

The event showcased approximately 70 photographs from over 15 authors, weaving a visual narrative of avian life, the local riverine community, and the critical threats facing migratory birds. Attracting over 1,500 attendees, the event offered guests a unique opportunity to explore and observe the birds of Song Dam on community-operated small boats. These activities not only bring the natural beauty and culture of Song Dam to a wider audience but also pave the way for the rapid growth of experiential eco-tourism in the future.

This initiative is part of the "Green Citizens, Healthy City" project, a collaborative effort between L&L, HiVooc Co., Ltd., and TPG (Think Playgrounds), in partnership with the Da Nang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

"Fantastic experience. Highly recommend and I will be coming back again :) Truly magical to see the red shanked douc langurs in their natural habitat, something I will treasure for a very long time. A very big thank you to Huy and Son who were so knowledgeable about the birds and wildlife in the area! So many birds and several lifers for me too! Such as the green billed Malkoha and the puff throated babbler and so many more! Both Huy and Son are very friendly, explained everything clearly, made me feel welcome and were kind. We walked, travelled by car and by bike! By bike was very fun! The whole process was smooth and efficient. The biggest highlight for me was just taking the moment to observe the langurs in their own home and In the wild where they belong. It’s great to see the conservation efforts working and I truly hope it continues to help these incredible and special mammals. Thank you so much Huy and Son! It was so great to share my passion and care for wildlife with you both! We need more people like you to help the wildlife. I had the best time! I hope to visit again another time. Thank you!"

A Heartfelt Thank You from our Guest! 🌿

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our passion for wildlife shared and felt so deeply. A huge thanks to our guest for these touching words and for joining us in the wild.
