Sâm Ngọc Linh có tên khoa học Panax vietnamensis Ha et Grushv., là loài sâm đặc hữu của Việt Nam, được phát hiện vào năm 1973 tại vùng núi Ngọc Linh. Đây là một trong những loài sâm quý hiếm trên thế giới, phân bố tự nhiên chủ yếu ở độ cao từ 1.500–2.100 m với điều kiện khí hậu và hệ sinh thái rừng đặc thù. Ngoài tên gọi chính thức, Sâm Ngọc Linh còn được biết đến với các tên dân gian như sâm đốt trúc, sâm K5 hay cây thuốc giấu.
