Old Man Nomad When my job shifted to fully remote work, I saw my opening. I packed light, said goodbye to the familiar, and stepped into the unknown.

In July 2020, after a near-fatal accident left me in a wheelchair for months, I had an epiphany: life is short, and it was time to start living mine to the fullest. Since then, I’ve been slow-traveling the world — not as a tourist, but as a minimalist and a nomad. What started as a personal reset became a lifestyle. Now retired (mostly), I created Old Man Nomad to share the ups, downs, and odd det

ours of life abroad. I hope my story entertains, inspires, and maybe even nudges someone else to take the leap.

I love when I make a random find. I was walking to an MRT station after deboarding the Chao Phraya Express Water Taxi and walked past this alley with a great view. I walked down it to snap a photo and discovered this restaurant. I wasn't even hungry but I grabbed a table to watch the sunset and take it all in.
