โ€‹This unusual appearance has earned it the nickname โ€œBlack Houseโ€. It is the home, studio and final resting place of the late Thai national artist Thawan Duchanee (1939โ€“2014). ๐ŸŽจ

โœจ โ€‹Duchaneeโ€™s art has given Baan Dam its distinctive โ€œcharacterโ€.

His unique style combines Buddhist philosophy, Thai folklore, and modern expressionism to create paintings, sculptures and artworks featuring a somewhat raw, primitive energy. ๐ŸŒŒ
