𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐀𝐏 𝐎𝐅 #𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐁𝐀𝐘𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒
The Clean the Bay 2024 event was a big success on May 6th, owing to the cooperation of over 100 volunteers, coming from travel companies, universities, and Bhaya.
Together, we made a significant impact by collecting the following items:
✅ 800 pieces of polystyrene
✅ 250 kg of various types of waste, including 490 plastic bottles and 220 other materials

The dedicated staff of Bhaya Cruises later carefully sorted the collected garbage on the shore and transported it to appropriate facilities for processing.

The primary goal of was to unite Bhaya Cruises and its partners in a collective effort to clean and maintain the magnificent beauty of Ha Long Bay, ensuring its green and healthy condition.

“Striving for a healthy Halong Bay” has always been a top priority of Bhaya Cruises in nearly 20 years of operation.

This also serves as the slogan of our 2024 Clean the Bay event, taking place this May. It’s an annual gathering where travel companies, NGOs, and volunteers team up to collect waste and clean up the bays. This is also an opportunity to raise awareness of waste sorting and disposal to more people.

In addition to ceasing the use of nylon and single-use plastic items throughout all Bhaya vessels, we firmly believe that we can significantly contribute to a purer and healthier Halong Bay through this occurrence.

Over the weekend, 120 volunteers including Bhaya Cruises employees, travel partners and students from British University Vietnam worked together to clean up and collect ocean trash from over 1.7 km of coastal length in Ang Du - Coc Cheo area. 👏
Thanks to the passionate support from the participants "𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐲" event on May 7th has been a big success, cleaning up over 1000 pieces of polystyrene in various sizes & shapes, together with approx. 300 kilograms of plastic & non-recyclable trash consisting of hard plastic, bottle plastic, beverage bottles, rubber sandals, plastic bags & wrappers, and other debris.
