💃🌍🏖️🌅🎆 Miss World 2026 has provided a special opportunity for Quang Ninh to promote its image globally. The journey of 111 contestants from 111 countries and territories once again brought the breathtaking beauty of Ha Long Bay closer to audiences around the world.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ A wide range of large-scale cultural, artistic, sporting and tourism activities will take place from late August, creating an atmosphere of excitement among local residents and visitors as Quang Ninh marks the establishment of the new city.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ The first highlight is the ceremony announcing the National Assembly's Resolution on the establishment of Quang Ninh City and the presentation of the First-Class Labour Order, scheduled for the morning of August 28 at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center,

⚡️⚡️⚡️ The special art programme themed “Quang Ninh – A City Shining into the Future” will take place at 8:00 p.m. at Oct 30 Square and Tran Quoc Nghien coastal ring road.

⚡️⚡️⚡️More than 70 tourist boats will take part in a light show on Ha Long Bay from August 26 to 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ 3D mapping will also be projected onto the exterior of the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center from August 28 to September 2.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ From August 28 to September 6, the OCOP and Food Fair celebrating the establishment of Quang Ninh City is scheduled to take place at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center and along Tran Quoc Nghien coastal ring road.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ Also taking place from August 28 to September 2 is an exhibition on urban and rural planning, featuring digital applications and modern projection technology.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ Sporting and tourism stimulus activities will also be rolled out in a coordinated manner. The 2026 “Together, Vietnam Moves Forward” walking programme will take place on August 30 at 48 locations across the province.

👉👉👉 From August 28 to September 2, Quang Ninh will organise a special art programme and a series of attractive events to celebrate the establishment of Quang Ninh City and mark the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945–2026) and Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945–2026).

👉👉👉 The special art programme is scheduled to begin at 8:10 p.m. on August 28 at the Oct. 30 Square and Tran Quoc Nghien coastal ring road in Ha Long and Hong G*i wards, under the theme “Quang Ninh – A City Shining into the Future.”

👉👉👉 On this occasion, Quang Ninh Province will also organise a light show featuring 72 tourist boats on Ha Long Bay. The three-day programme will take place from August 26 to 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., combining light and sound performances with fireworks aboard the boats, creating a festive atmosphere on Ha Long Bay.

👏👏👏 On August 24, in Lao Cai Province, Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Le Van Anh attended the 12th Conference on Economic Corridor Cooperation among the five provinces and cities of Lao Cai, Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh of Vietnam, and Yunnan Province of China.

👏👏👏 Quang Ninh proposed that Yunnan coordinate research into the launch of a direct or charter air route between Kunming and Van Don; enhance the effectiveness of the Lao Cai–Hanoi–Hai Phong–Ha Long–Van Don–Mong Cai expressway; and promote research into a standard-gauge Mong Cai–Ha Long–Hai Phong railway, gradually forming a rail corridor connecting Hekou–Lao Cai–Hanoi–Hai Phong–Ha Long–Mong Cai–Dongxing.

🥳🥳🥳 On August 24, at the closing session of the First Extraordinary Session of the 16th National Assembly, chaired by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly voted to approve the Resolution on the establishment of Quang Ninh City.

🥳🥳🥳 With 100% of attending deputies voting in favour, the resolution was approved. Under the resolution, Quang Ninh City is established based on the entire natural area and population of Quang Ninh Province. The city borders Hai Phong City, Bac Ninh City, Lang Son Province, the People's Republic of China and the East Sea. The resolution will take effect on September 1, 2026.
