📳RESOLUTION ON VIETNAM VISA EXEMPTION
On August 8, the Government issued Resolution No. 229/NQ-CP on visa exemption under the Tourism Development Promotion Program for citizens of the following countries: the Kingdom of Belgium, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Republic of Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, the Republic of Slovenia, and the Swiss Confederation.
📜Decree No. 221/2025/NĐ-CP stipulates that the following foreign nationals are eligible for visa exemption:
• Guests of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the President, the Chairperson of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, the Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vice President, the Vice Chairperson of the National Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister, the President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy, the State Auditor General, Ministers and equivalents, Provincial Party Secretaries, City Party Secretaries, Chairpersons of the People’s Councils, and Chairpersons of the People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities.
• Scholars, experts, scientists, university professors, and researchers; chief engineers; high-quality human resources in the digital technology industry.
• Investors, heads of corporations, and leaders of major global enterprises.
• Individuals engaged in cultural, artistic, sports, or tourism activities with a positive public influence.
