A Grand Celebration in the Heart of Hanoi!
Mark your calendars! This September 2nd, Vietnam will celebrate its 80th National Day with a majestic parade and marching ceremony in Hanoi — a proud tradition that honors the nation’s independence and spirit.
What to Expect:
An unforgettable morning filled with military parades, traditional torch relay, flag-raising ceremony, patriotic speeches, cultural performances, and a massive display of unity and national pride.
Full Schedule:
Rehearsals:
Initial Rehearsal: 9:00 PM, August 27 (Wednesday) – backup: August 28
Full Dress Rehearsal: 7:00 AM, August 30 (Saturday) – backup: August 31
Main National Day Program – Tuesday, September 2, 2025:
6:30 AM: Traditional torch relay (by Ministry of National Defense & Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism)
6:45 AM: National Flag Salute Ceremony
6:50 AM: Opening remarks and introduction of distinguished guests
7:05 AM: Keynote speech by Party and State leaders
7:45 AM: Start of the military and civilian parade, showcasing Vietnam’s armed forces, historical themes, and cultural pride
9:45–10:00 AM: Grand finale performance featuring large-scale artistic choreography

Ba Dinh Square and surrounding major streets in central Hanoi.

Mua cave is one of destination which I fully recommend you do early in the morning if you’re visiting Ninh Binh.
There are 500 steps up to the Mua Cave viewpoint and while it’s worth it for the view, there is no shade and the steps are steep!
