Travel to Hanoi has been a little challenging recently. Normally March and April are some of our busiest months welcoming international guests, but this year several trips had to be cancelled due to flight disruptions in Dubai and Qatar.

All affected bookings have been fully refunded, and we truly understand how disappointing it is when a long-awaited journey cannot happen.

In the meantime, we have been exploring and researching traditional craft villages around Hanoi. Very soon we will launch new tours visiting beautiful places like Quang Phu Cau incense village, where generations of craftsmen continue their incredible work.

We hope the travel situation improves soon and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to Hanoi. ✨

Lim Festival 2026

Just about 30 km from Hanoi, in the charming province of Bắc Ninh, the melodies of Quan Họ folk songs once again filled the air at Lim Festival 2026. 🎶

Under the soft spring sunshine, local visitors gathered on Lim Hill to enjoy traditional songs, vibrant costumes, and the joyful spirit of one of Northern Vietnam’s most iconic spring festivals.

A short journey from the city of Hanoi, but a deep dive into centuries of culture and romance.

Hanoi is wrapped in rain today, humidity up to 92% 🌧️

The city feels wet, misty, and a little dreamy as the streets glisten under the grey sky.

The good news is the sun will be back tomorrow ☀️ bringing warmth and clearer skies.

On a day like this, the best way to enjoy Hanoi is visiting indoor spots like Hỏa Lò Prison, then treating yourself to a rich Vietnamese coffee and a steaming bowl of hot phở.

A Very Special First Time in Vietnam

This tour was truly special for us.

It was Elane’s very first time traveling to Vietnam. She had just arrived after a long 30 hour journey from very far away and was still feeling the effects of jet lag. She did not speak Vietnamese and did not even have a local SIM card yet.

Despite that, she decided to make the most of her time in Hanoi by joining our walking tour.

Our host Cong helped her book a Be ride so she could join the tour. It was a busy time, close to Lunar New Year, when many drivers were not accepting rides. After several attempts, we finally found a driver who could take her. It was not easy, but we made it work.

Elane was incredibly curious and asked many thoughtful questions throughout the tour. She shared stories about being American and originally from Belize, which is truly on the other side of the world from Vietnam. It reminded us how travel connects people from places so far apart.

After the tour, she left us a review that truly warmed our hearts.

Special moments like this are the reason we love hosting tours and connecting with people from all over the world. It is always our happiness to create meaningful experiences and friendships across cultures and distances.

End Year Party 🎉

2025 has come to an end, and Onetrip With Local took this moment to reflect on our journey this year — a year of growth and learning. There were bitter moments when we missed bookings, and shy, nervous new hosts facing questions that weren’t part of the training materials. But there was also so much fun and so much growth throughout the year.

We celebrated with a BBQ party and shared the rewards, including Tết lì xì (lucky money), the 13th salary, and the winners of the Guide Discovery Programme: Kien, Mina, Pinky, and Yen — they truly deserve it!

We also said farewell to a few team members as they go abroad to study or plan to move to new cities. We wish everyone — our team and our guests — a new year full of good health and countless travel memories. ✨✈️
