What does AI think Hue and Phong Nha would look like if they were right next to each other? 👀 (Slide 1)

While that's not quite the case, travelling between these two UNESCO World Heritage Sites is about to get a lot easier. The new Hue–Phong Nha train is due to start operating from September 1, 2026.

Running daily in both directions, the service departs from Hue and Tho Loc stations.

Vietnam is extending its implementation of the online pre-arrival declaration form (also referred to as the pre-arrival information card) to its five busiest airports in:
✈️ Ha Noi - Noi Bai International Airport (HAN)
✈️ Da Nang - Da Nang International Airport (DAD)
✈️ Nha Trang - Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR)
✈️ Ho Chi Minh City - Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN)
✈️ Phu Quoc - Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC)

While the information is required for all inbound tourists regardless of visa status, the online form submission is optional. Visitors can still fill it out upon their arrival at the mentioned airports either digitally or by using the paper copies.

We encourage your clients to submit this form in advance to reduce immigration processing time.

The country's luxury travel market has been quietly growing in the last few decades with services and offers that are on par with Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Despite that many travelers still perceive Vietnam as a backpacking destination.
