Cat Ba has a typically rare flora and fauna of limestone mountain forests, there are also many marvelous grottoes, white sandy and clear water beaches that you can see to sea bed. In old forests there is ancient Komodo Varna and chamois species of average weight of over 100kg each. On Cat Ba Island, there are many fishing grounds with shrimps, red snapper, anchovy, trap fish,... and a grass cover to breed tortoise-shells. Day 2: Hanoi - Halong Bay Cruise & stay overnight on Board (B, L, D)
Early this morning, we’ll drive from Hanoi to one of the most magnificent scenic environments in the world, Halong Bay. Covering 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestone “peaks” or karsts that jut from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast onboard, exploring this overwhelming seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths. you will visit the largest Vietnamese city. There are street markets, sidewalk cafes and sleek new bars. This teeming metropolis offers 300 years of timeless traditions and the beauty of an ancient culture. To the west of the city is the huge Chinese neighborhood called Cho lon, which means "Big Market." Notre Dame Cathedral, in the heart of Saigon's government quarter, is of neo- Romanesque architecture with two high square tower and iron spires. The Central Post Office is French-style and City Hall, known as "Hotel de Ville," is typical of the French architecture that would be seen in any village in France. Visit the War Remnants Museum, featuring collections of weapons and photographs from the two Indochina wars. Leave Saigon for Cu Chi Tunnels to learn about Vietnam history & Vietnam War. Return to hotel for free. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 5: Mekong Delta – Cai Be floating market full day (B, L)
Having breakfast at hotel until 7:30 am. Depart for Cai Be, stopping to take photos in Tan An town overlooking the picturesque flat rice fields. On arrival in Cai Be, take a motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels. Then wander into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation. Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village, the green pearl of Vinh Long town, where you can immerse yourself in nature. Enjoy a lunch of fresh river food served in the heart of the garden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music. Take a delightful walk through the bonsai garden. Day 2: Sapa arrival - trekking to Villages (B, L)
Arrive Lao Cai Railway Station at 6:00am. Pick up to Sapa town for check in. Having breakfast and start trekking down to Lao Chai village to visit the Black H'mong. Have a picnic lunch on the way then keep going along the valley to get to Ta Van village to visit the Dzay people live, which supposed to be the most friendly one in mountainous area. The next is Giang Ta Chai village of Red Dzao tribe where you will see the amazing scenery and beautiful waterfall. In the afternoon, you get back Sapa Town for free to discover Sapa Market & stay overnight in Sapa Town.

Day 3: Lao Cai- Bac Ha Sunday Market - Night train back Hanoi (B, L)
After breakfast in Sapa, you leave Sapa Town for Bac Ha Town to join Sunday Market with local people. Bac Ha is considered one of the most wonderful and colourful markets in extreme north Vietnam where thousands of local people in their traditional attire buy and sell the local products. Dogs, cats, pigs, horses... are all on sales. This is a golden opportunity to take your best photos! In the afternoon, we will take a pleasant walk to Ban Pho village, home to the flower H'mong people. This is a great opportunity to interact with the friendly locals and have pleasant walk amongst tribal villages. Leave Bac Ha Town at 3:00pm for Lao Cai Railway Station. Take night train, which departs about 7.30am. Overnight on the train.

Mai Chau is located in Hoa Binh province, approximately 135 km from Hanoi. From the top of Cun mountain, on can admire the superb panorama view of Mai Chau surrounded by a green valley and stilt hourses. Many minorities, including the Thai Ethnic group, live in Mai Chau valley.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Hanoi to Mai Chau, cycling (L,D)
08h00: Pick up from your hotel and head west towards Hoa Binh to have refreshment
10h00: Leave Hoa Binh for Mai Chau Valley, about 2hrs away, stop for snapping pictures.
12h00: Arrive in Mai Chau and have lunch in a family house in the local village.
14h00: Bicycle around the surrouding villages of White Thai Ethnic people. Learn more about their lives and cutures as your guide can help answer any questions.
18h00: Dinner with the family, get a closer look into their real life. Drink "ruou can" (traditional alcohol) with your new family.
Sleep in the village, in the stilt house, the most interesting part of the trip. Stilt houses are unique to Mai Chau and you cannot find this experience in other tour.
You can sleep in the large communal room or you can order a private room.

Day 2: Mai Chau, trekking other villages (B,L,D)
The early morning is the most peaceful time to walk aroud the villages. See women prepare foods on the wooden fire while the sun is rising over the beautiful mountains.
07h30: Breakfast in village and then go trekking to other village to see other minority people: Mong people, Meo people…. Seeing the different life style in those villages.
12h00: have lunch (picnic style)
17h30: Back to Lac village
18h30: have dinner with the family in Lac village
You can sleep in the Large communal room or you can order a Private room.

Day 3: Mai Chau - Ha Noi (B,L)
The early morning is the most peaceful time to walk aroud the villages. See women prepare foods on the wooden fire while the sun is rising over the beautiful mountains.
7h30: Breakfast in the village then walk to Mai Chau market then climb to 1000 Step Cave. The cave is breathtaking and so is the view of the area from the entrance of the cave.
12h00: Have lunch in the village before getting on the bus back to Hanoi.
17h00: Back to your hotel on Hanoi and finish the trip.

ITINENARY

DAY 1: HANOI – HALONG BAY ( Lunch, dinner)
08h00 – 08h30: Our tourguide comes to pick up you at your hotel.
08h30 – 12h30: Enjoy scenic four hour drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay. We stop for 20 minutes en-route break in Hai Duong province.
13h00: Arrive Hon G*i harbor (Halong Bay), embark on Monkey Island Cruise, enjoy your welcome drink and check-in your room.
13h15: Our boat starts cruising on Halong bay when you enjoy your dilicious lunch.
14h30: Visit “Thien Cung” cave ( Heaven cave) - one of the most beautiful, huge caves in Halong Bay with a lot of surprising stalactites and stalagmites.
15h30: Boat passes Dog islet, stops for visiting Dinh Huong islet ( Incense pot). Here is one of the most beautiful area in Halong bay, you will have chance to take many beautiful pictures.
16h00: Go kayaking around islets and floating village then our boat continues to cruise to a lovely and clean area for swimming
18h30: Have dinner, enjoy a romantic night in the restaurant or have some drinks on the top of the boat. Overnight on boat.

DAY 2: HALONG – LAN HA BAY – MONKEY ISLAND (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)
07h30: Have breakfast and enjoy beautiful sunrise on Halong bay.
09h30: Boat takes you to Gia Luan harbor ( Cat Ba island), get on bus and our driver will take you along a lovely road, passing through Cat Ba national park with the two sides are tropical flowers, green trees and mountains.
10h30: Come to Ben Beo harbor, get on boat to discover Lan Ha bay with visiting Cai Beo floating village - one of the oldest floating village in Vietnam.
11h30: Arrive and check in at Monkey Island Resort. You will have lunch at about
12h00 in the restaurant beside lovely beach. Afternoon: Free kayaking, play football, volley ball on beach or you can play chess, billiard, ping pong, table football in the entertainment area.
15h00: Our tour guide will take you to go up mountain, take panorama pictures of Monkey Island and Lan Ha bay then arrive another beach to see some monkeys playing.
18h30: After seeing sunset on Lan Ha bay, you will have dinner (often BBQ dinner) in the beach restaurant when listen to solfly sound of ocean waves. Evening: you will have “warm up friendship” hour with activities like singing karaoke, drink or take some dance in bar, play games or just go to the sand beach to chat with friends. Have a good sleep in your lovely private bungalow of Monkey Island Resort.

DAY 3: CATBA MONKEY ISLAND RESORT - ROCK CLIMBING CATBA (B/L/D)
7h30: Have breakfast, enjoy a sunrise cruise in the breathtaking scenery of Monkey Island beach.
08h00: our boat take you from Monkey Island to Catba town to join the group tour rock climbing:
8:30 AM – 9:00 AM ……………. Coastline ride into the small farming village of Lien Minh
9:00 AM – 9:30 AM …………… Basic instruction and introduction to Rock Climbing
9:30 AM – 12:30 PM…………… Guided Rock Climbing in Butterfly Valley
12:30 PM – 1:30 PM…………… Delicious lunch on a bee farm with fresh local foods
1:30 PM – 2:00 PM ……………. Return to Cat Ba Town
Our guide come to pick up you to Beo harbour for going by boat to Monkey Island Resort.

08h00: Leave Monkey Island Resort, boat takes you to Ben Beo harbor to get on bus to come to Gia Luan harbor.
09h30: Our boat will take you to many beautiful rock formations to take pictures such as Duck Islet, Fighting C***s Islets. You will pass by Bai Tu Long bay on the way back to Hon G*i harbor at about 12h30 am.
13h00: Bus take you to go back to Hanoi.
17h30: Arrive Hanoi Old quarter. Tour finishes.
