🔴 URGENT: PEOPLE SHOULD STAY INDOORS FROM SATURDAY MORNING DUE TO THE LARGE IMPACT RADIUS OF TYPHOON YAGI

Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) has intensified by 7 levels in less than 48 hours, marking the fastest intensification in the history of Vietnam’s meteorology. It is currently the strongest storm in the world in 2024.

The storm is expected to make landfall between Saturday afternoon and evening. However, heavy rains and strong winds will begin as early as Friday night into Saturday morning. From Saturday morning onward, it is highly advised for people to stay indoors, as Typhoon Yagi has a very large impact radius.

The areas most at risk of direct impact include: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thai Binh, and Nam Dinh.

Please:
- Contact your family members or loved ones to inform them of this situation.
- Consider delaying work or school if you have to travel.
- Postpone any travel or leisure plans.

This is not a storm to take lightly. It is the strongest typhoon in recent years, with high intensity, severe natural disaster risks, and unpredictable developments.

Time is running out. The most urgent action now is to prepare for the storm, reinforce houses to protect property, stock up on necessary supplies, and be ready to evacuate at any moment upon government notice. The latest expected government alert will be by 9 PM on September 6.

A popular recommendation is to plan a trip of at least 10 to 14 days in Sri Lanka to explore its cultural and natural treasures. This time frame allows for a well-rounded itinerary. Including visits to iconic landmarks such as Sigiriya, Kandy, and Galle. Also adding national parks like Yala or Udawalawe plus southern beaches.

But, even if you have a limited amount of time, you can still enjoy Sri Lanka by focusing on specific regions or attractions.
