An awesome (and full) evening with Loren and Edmin from the U.S. on Nom Nom Travel’s best-selling Gluten-Free Street Food Walking Tour! With our awemazing local expert Alex, we dove into the vibrant flavors of Hanoi’s street food scene, starting with a visit to the inspiring *Suspended Pho* stall. It was also my great pleasure to deliver to the restaurant owner the financial donation on behalf of Greg and Vickie, converted to several bowls of hot Pho for those in need - a kind gesture that surely adds a touch of meaning to every meal.
Beyond the iconic pho, the night was filled with more culinary delights. One highlight was the BBQ pork skewers, grilled to perfection and bursting with flavors that truly capture Hanoi’s unique culinary heritage. It was a feast for the senses and an evening enjoyed by all!

Despite the hustle and bustle of life, Saigon provides remarkable moments of serenity. Brilliant sunsets beside the river, a cup of coffee on the pavement, and the laughter of friends resonating throughout.
There are moments when we calm down and listen to life: individuals greeting each other with smiles, vendors getting ready to clean up, and elderly people doing yoga. All contribute to a Saigon filled with love and attachment.

In Ninh Bình, visitors are flocking to a unique café experience that combines nature and coffee in a truly immersive way. Located in Hang Trâu, part of the scenic Tam Cốc - Bích Động UNESCO heritage site, this café allows guests to enjoy their beverages while standing in shallow water, with ducks swimming around their feet. This quirky setup came about due to the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi, which caused water levels in the area to rise. Rather than closing down, the café embraced the situation and transformed it into a memorable experience for both locals and tourists.

The water-filled café gives customers a chance to engage with their surroundings, blending the simple pleasures of village life with the breathtaking beauty of rural Vietnam. Guests can feed the ducks, take in the picturesque landscape of limestone mountains, rice paddies, and rivers, all while sipping coffee in a completely unconventional setting. This attraction has sparked excitement, especially among international tourists, who are eager to share their encounters with nature on social media.

Places to See Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom: The Breathtaking Beauty of Sapa

From December to January, Sapa comes alive with cherry blossoms, marking the arrival of spring. Though the season lasts just a few weeks, visitors flock to places like O Long tea hill and O Quy Ho pass to capture this fleeting beauty.

O Long Tea Hill
O Long tea hill, located along National Highway 4D, 7 km from Sapa’s town center, is one of the most beautiful spots to see cherry blossoms. The flowers are planted along the paths around the green tea hills, creating a breathtaking scene of pink blooms draped across the landscape. The best times to visit are early morning (6:30 - 8:00 AM) and late afternoon (3:00 - 5:30 PM), when the sunlight beautifully highlights the blossoms.

O Quy Ho Pass
On the way to O Quy Ho Pass, near O Quy Ho Kindergarten, you’ll find another must-see spot for cherry blossoms. The area offers stunning views of both the blooms and the majestic mountain pass, making it a prime destination for nature lovers and photographers.

Sun World Fansipan Legend Tourist Area
At the Sun World Fansipan Legend Tourist Area, hundreds of cherry blossom trees bloom along Nguyen Chi Thanh Street. This peach garden, the largest in Sapa, attracts many tourists and is a great spot to combine blossom viewing with a visit to the famous Fansipan Mountain.

City Center and Bac Ha District
For those staying in town, the central lake area near the stone church offers a lovely display of cherry blossoms in late winter and early spring. For a quieter experience, head to Bac Ha district, where you can enjoy the blooms without the crowds.

This too, shall pass.
Super typhoon Yagi wrecked heavy damage to Hanoi last night. More than 2200 trees fell, electricity was interrupted in some areas. As seen from the pictures, several locations in the Old Quarter and French Quarter, which have been familiar to many, including tourists, are no longer the same.
Our beautiful city survived and cleanup has been initiated by both local people and authority. Thank you all for your kind wishes and support to us during this adversity.

Typhoon Yagi has continued to gain strength, reaching maximum wind speeds of 183 kph on Thursday morning, and is likely to become a ''super typhoon'' or hurricane within 24 hours as it approaches Vietnam's northern coast.

This will be one of the strongest storms to enter Vietnam waters during the past decades. Tours to Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh) and Hai Phong have been cancelled. We strongly advise tourists to refrain from traveling to this region during this weekends.

Please stay safe.
