💥 Following our post on 11 June about the reported health declaration requirement from 1 July 2026, here is the official clarification 💥

❗️Official Notice❗️

✅ There is currently NO requirement for all travelers entering, departing from, or transiting through Vietnam to submit a health declaration.

✅ Claims that all inbound, outbound, and transit travelers to Vietnam will be required to complete a health declaration from 1 July 2026 are INCORRECT ❗️

✅ Health declarations will only be required if the Ministry of Health issues specific guidance for a particular infectious disease and for a specific period, based on the public health situation.

✅ The Department of Disease Prevention, Ministry of Health, has issued an official notice to clarify and correct the misinformation currently circulating (see attach in Vietnamese version)

After a successful trial at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the Pre-Arrival Card is now being introduced at Noi Bai International Airport and Phu Quoc International Airport as well.

As for the health declaration requirement scheduled to take effect on July 1, there's no official announcement or declaration form has been released yet.

✈️ NEW ENTRY REQUIREMENT – VIETNAM (TAN SON NHAT AIRPORT)

From 15 April 2026, a pre-arrival declaration requirement will be implemented at Tan Son Nhat International Airport
(Pilot program – applies only at Tan Son Nhat Airport, not other airports)

1. Applicable and non-applicable subjects

Applicable to:
• Foreign nationals and overseas Vietnamese entering Vietnam using a visa

Not applicable to:
• Vietnamese citizens entering Vietnam using a Vietnamese passport
• Transit passengers who do not complete immigration procedures

2. New regulation details

Effective date: From 15 April 2026

👉 Passengers must complete a pre-arrival personal information declaration
👉 After submission, the system will issue a confirmation QR code
👉 Present the QR code to immigration officers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport during arrival procedures
