The South has its own rhythm - energetic in Ho Chi Minh City, then slower as the city gives way to the waterways and green landscapes of the Mekong Delta.

In Saigon, our travel advisor partners discovered the city through its history, everyday life, and a few unexpected meetings.

Then, in the Mekong Delta, the pace changed completely. Riverways, orchards, village life, local flavours, and a shared meal offered a glimpse into a different side of Vietnam.

And before saying goodbye, Saigon surprised us once more with an evening of vintage charm, creative cocktails, local flavours, and the energy of the city after dark.

Looking back at our journey across Vietnam, what stays with us most are the people we met, the conversations we shared, and the meaningful moments along the way.

Some places reveal themselves through their landscapes. Others through the people who keep their stories alive.

In Hoi An, our travel advisor partners had the chance to discover Central Vietnam through the people, traditions, and stories that give the region its unique character.

One of the most memorable moments was an introduction to Chăm culture through a Champa cultural researcher whose personal connection to her heritage offered a perspective that went far beyond history books. Later, through music, food, and stories, the group experienced a culture that is not simply part of the past but very much alive today.

There was also time to slow down and wander through the streets of Hoi An, discovering the layers of history and cultural influences that have shaped this remarkable trading town.

Along the way, our partners also discovered beautiful places to stay for their future clients, shared conversations around the table, and experienced those unexpected little moments that make a familiar destination feel new again.

This is what we love about FAM trips: not simply showing our partners a destination, but giving them the opportunity to feel it, connect with it, and return home with stories they can share with their travellers.

This week, we are proud to welcome our travel advisor partners to Vietnam for a journey designed to experience the country through the same thoughtful approach we bring to every tailor-made itinerary.

Our first chapter took us through some of Northern Vietnam’s most remarkable contrasts.

In Hanoi, the group explored the capital’s historic landmarks, vibrant streets, and everyday rhythm from the back of a Vespa, discovering everything from iconic cultural sites to the fascinating maze of the Old Quarter.

The journey then continued to Ba Vi Eco Tour, where the focus shifted to local connections and stories. At Ri Village, the group met Mr. Duoc, a Vietnam War veteran and local tea farmer, who shared his personal story and introduced them to the traditions of tea-making. The group also joined a hands-on cooking experience with Ms. Chin, discovering local flavors and the stories behind Vietnamese home cooking.

For us, a FAM Trip is about more than showing our partners where to go. It is about experiencing destinations firsthand, meeting the people who bring them to life, and gaining a deeper understanding of the experiences that can transform an itinerary into something truly memorable.

Ha Giang is still a destination that sits outside Vietnam's better-known luxury circuits.

The landscapes here are spectacular: limestone mountains, winding roads, deep valleys and communities with cultures that feel worlds away from Vietnam's major tourist centres. But for travellers looking for a higher level of comfort, accommodation options in the region remain relatively limited.
