HTC had to use the iPhone to make anyone care about the HTC U12
HTC is still making smartphones of its own, even though it lost a substantial amount of engineers when it sold part of its mobile division to Google last year.
The struggling Taiwanese smartphone maker will unveil a new handset on May 23rd, according to a recent message the company posted on Twitter. Teasing the upcoming event for “a phone that is more than the sum of its specs,” the message features an image of smartphone parts that seem familiar.
As it turns out, HTC is using old iPhone components to drive up hype for its new phone, the HTC U12. At this point, however, it’s hardly likely that anybody gets excited about a new HTC phone that’s not Pixel branded.
The company posted the following image a few days ago, leaving it to readers to notice that the parts in the picture belong to HTC’s iPhone-making rival.
It was AnandTech readers who first noticed that HTC showed off iPhone 6 components in its ad. It’s pretty easy to verify that: just look at iFixit teardowns of the phone.
Say what now? Is HTC going to cram parts elegantly in its next phone? Will anybody care?

Next HTC Sense Home update to bring new Pixel Launcher style app drawer
Although HTC doesn't own a smartphone business any longer, the Taiwanese company will still launch another flagship by the end of the year. Google acquired HTC's workforce, which includes almost 2,000 engineers, earlier this week, in an attempt to turn its Pixel phones into a much more competitive lineup.

Regardless of that, HTC will continue to support its newest smartphones with updates whenever needed. In fact, a new report claims the Taiwanese company plans to release a new Sense Home update, which will include some major changes.

One of the many improvements included, the app drawer is supposed to mimic the swipe gestures of the Pixel Launcher. The way it works and the design of the new Sense Home will bring some of HTC's smartphones much closer to the Pixel phones software-wise.

We have yet to learn when exactly HTC plans to release the updated Sense Home update, but by looking at the leaked video, fans won't have to wait that long to experience the new features of the Pixel Launcher style app drawer.

HTC U 11 discovered on Geekbench
Exactly one month ago, we told you that the HTC U 11 appeared on benchmark site AnTuTu. Now, the manufacturer's next flagship phone has made the trek to Geekbench. The listing for the HTC CBP, which is exactly what the phone was called on AnTuTu, confirms the specs found on the latter's website. That includes the use of Qualcomm's latest and greatest Snapdragon 835 chipset. For the test, the octa-core CPUs were running at a throttled clock speed of 1.9GHz.
The Geekbench listing also showed that the handset will carry 4GB of RAM and has Android 7.1.1 pre-installed. The phone scored 1912 on the single-core test and 6137 on the multi-core test. The new HTC flagship will be unveiled on May 16th.
Two weeks ago, we got our first look at the phone, which is expected to sport a feature called Edge Sense. This will allow users to squeeze the sides of the device to reveal certain applications on the handset's touch sensitive edges. Other rumored specs include a 5.5-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. 64GB of internal storage is expected to be inside, and the U 11 could hit the marketplace with a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 16MP selfie snapper. Considering that HTC just shoehorned a 4000mAh battery into the mid-range HTC One X10, perhaps we will see a large capacity juicer inside the U 11.

marginal (League of Legends): CHAMPION UPDATE: GALIO, THE COLOSSUS
The reveal for Galio's large scope champion update is out has made it's heroic entrance! , including a previews of his new visuals and updated skins, details on his new gameplay and kit, and more!
“I only wake up when it's time to squash something. And I'm awake right now.”
Looming brazen above Demacia's walls, the colossus stands with silent lips. The elders tell of ages past, when the mighty man stirred to defend the huddled masses. Many doubt these legends. But—like imprisoned lightning—the colossus is waiting. And when he's most needed, he'll stretch his conquering limbs again.
PLAYING AS GALIO____________________________________
Galio's a stone-cold warden who loves making earth-shattering entrances to teamfights. He's tankier than most magic users; he smashes skulls on the frontlines, grabbing glory for himself with rowdy taunts.
Galio wants to hit you, and he also wants to make you hit him back. It doesn't much matter who's doing the hitting—the living statue just needs to stretch his bulky, long-dormant limbs, preferably by beating up a lot of folks.
STRENGTHS _________________________________________
Early in lane, Galio can blow up minion waves with a whirlwind of area-of-effect damage from his passive, Q, and E abilities. This gives him more time to apply near-global pressure with his ultimate, Hero's Entrance. Wise Galio players will keep an eye on their teammates' health bars and look for chances to take to the skies for a daring salvation.
Winds of War lets the Colossus blow down enemies from a distance, but the rest of his kit rewards a more intimate, physical approach to combat. Once he's boulders-deep in the brouhaha he can bash everybody at once with empowered basic attacks and Justice Punch. When Galio's buddies close in, he can hold peeps down with Shield of Durand's massive taunt (we put Galio's old ult on his W, xD).
“When Galio's buddies close in, he can hold peeps down with Shield of Durand's massive taunt (we put Galio's old ult on his W, xD)”
WEAKNESSES ________________________________________
Galio's great at starting epic battles, but he's not so great at escaping them. Justice Punch's delayed lunge can be easily body-blocked or dodged, and Hero's Entrance can be canceled by enemy stuns or roots. When the Colossus crashes a party, he's usually in it until the bloody end.

Galio also tends to have a tough time against champs that can match his wave clear and roaming potential, like Aurelion Sol. And although the scrappy sculpture's not as dependant on magic resist items as he was before, he's still at a disadvantage against AD-heavy teams. Abyssal Scepter remains a bread-and-butter item, and it ain't much use against a fed Zed.
“Abyssal Scepter is still Galio's bread-and-butter item, but it ain't much use against a fed Zed.”
