⛩️History and legend

Construction time: Phu Tay Ho was built around the 17th century.

Legend: Phu is associated with the legend of Princess Lieu Hanh - one of the Four Immortals of Vietnamese folk beliefs. Legend has it that she descended to earth, walked around West Lake and met Bang B**g Phung Khac Khoan. After she returned to heaven, to remember the triyin, he built a temple for her, which is Phu Tay Ho today.

⛩️Architecture and space

Location: Phu is located on a large peninsula of Nghi Tam village, protruding into the middle of the poetic West Lake.

Architecture: Phu has ancient architecture, with strong traditional culture of Vietnam. The work includes many main items such as:

Tam Quan: The entrance gate has two floors with a curved roof, exquisite carving.

Main government: Central area, consisting of three houses. The most solemn place is the Harem, which worships the Three Holy Mothers.

Dien Son Trang: A place to worship Mother Thuong Than with 12 Son Trang girls and the statue of the Five Tigers.

Lau Co, Lau Cau: A place to worship the servants of the saints.

Special feature: In the campus, there is an ancient si tree that has been recognized as a "Vietnamese heritage tree". Next to the palace, there is also a Ta**us temple worshiping the Golden Buffalo according to legend.

⛩️Belief and worship

The main god: Phu Tay Ho worships Lady Lieu Hanh, the holy mother in the Tu Phu belief of Tao Mo. She is respected and trusted by the people to bless her for a peaceful and lucky life.

Other gods: In addition, the palace also worships the Three Holy Mothers (Mother Thuong Than, Mother Lieu Hanh, Mother Comfort), Jade Emperor God, Great Quan, and other gods in the Vietnamese electrical system such as D**g Tu, Son Tinh, Saint Giong.

⛩️Festivals and activities

Main holidays: Phu Tay Ho opens the festival on two major holidays of the year:

The 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month: Mother Lieu Hanh's death anniversary.

13th of the 8th lunar month: The main festival of Phu.

Activities: During festivals, people and tourists often come to offer incense, pray for peace, fortune, and participate in traditional rituals such as processions, singing to worship literature...

Opening hours: Phu is open daily to welcome visitors to visit and worship. Especially, on the 1st and the full moon of every month, a large number of people come to the ceremony.

🏰 Quang Tri Citadel is a famous historical monument in Vietnam, located in Quang Tri town, Quang Tri province. This place used to be the administrative center of the province during the Nguyen Dynasty. However, Quang Tri Citadel is best known for its role as a fierce battlefield in the Vietnam War, especially in 1972 with the battle of 81 days and nights. Today, the Citadel is not only a historical monument but also a symbol of the strong spirit and sacrifice of the Vietnamese army and people.

Quang Tri ancient citadel is not only a relic but also a "cemetery without graves". Many soldiers sacrificed and fell into the ground here. Every year, people and veterans from all over come to visit to remember those who have fallen.

This place became a red address, a symbol of courage, resilience and immortal patriotism of the Vietnamese nation. Visiting Quang Tri Citadel is a journey to learn history, be grateful to those who have gone before and feel the great sacrifice to have peace today.
