📢 IMPORTANT UPDATE: NEW MEDICAL DECLARATION REGULATION IN VIETNAM (Effective July 1, 2026)

To ensure a smooth journey to Vietnam, Go Viet Travel would like to clarify the latest updates regarding Decree No. 165/2026/ND-CP on disease prevention:

👉 No Mandatory Daily Declarations for All Travelers
The medical declaration requirement is NOT a permanent or blanket rule for all inbound, outbound, or transit passengers starting July 1, 2026.

👉 Instead, it will only be triggered based on specific guidelines from the Minister of Health for particular infectious diseases, depending on global outbreaks and the actual risk of entry into Vietnam at any given time.

The Department of Disease Control has confirmed that the Ministry of Health DOES NOT use the website [https://tokhaiyte.vn](https://tokhaiyte.vn) for medical declarations. Please be cautious of unofficial links.

💡 Advice for Go Viet Travel Customers:
Currently, normal entry procedures apply. We are closely monitoring the Ministry of Health's specific guidelines and will provide immediate updates if any particular declaration requirements are activated for your travel dates.

However, if your plans shift from traveling to working, there are some crucial legal updates you need to know to avoid heavy fines under the new Decree No. 282/2025/ND-CP.

​1. 🚫 Tourism vs. Employment: Stick to Your Declared Purpose

​Your E-visa is fantastic for tourism, business meetings, or family visits. But remember: You cannot legally work for a local Vietnamese company or organization on a standard tourist E-visa. Doing so without a proper work permit violates immigration laws.

​2. ⚠️ What Counts as a Violation?
- ​Using a tourist E-visa but working full-time for a local agency.
- ​"Visa running" every 90 days to work long-term without a Work Permit.

NEW MEDICAL DECLARATION REGULATION IN VIETNAM

​Effective July 1, 2026, all inbound, outbound, and transit passengers in Vietnam must submit medical declarations under the newly issued Decree No. 165/2026/ND-CP. This measure aims to enhance disease control and ensure public health safety at border gates.
