Vietnam just expanded its pre-arrival declaration requirement to all 3 major airports. ⚠️
If you're flying into Vietnam in 2026 — this now applies to you regardless of which city you land in.
Here's everything you need to know before you board 👇
Which airports now require it:

✈️ Tan Son Nhat - HCMC (SGN) · From April 15, 2026
✈️ Phu Quoc International (PQC) · From June 1, 2026
✈️ Noi Bai - Hanoi (HAN) · From June 8, 2026
Who must complete it:

✅ All foreign passport holders

✅ Overseas Vietnamese traveling on a visa
Who is exempt:

🚫 Vietnamese citizens
🚫 Transit passengers
How to do it:
Complete the online declaration at Vietnam's official immigration portal before your flight. Link in🔗https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn/. if you skip it:

You may be asked to complete it at the airport on arrival - causing delays at immigration when you should already be in a taxi heading to your hotel. ❌

Authorities at Tan Son Nhat International Airport are currently searching for a suspect accused of stealing luxury luggage from a passenger at the terminal.
As international arrivals at SGN continue to hit record highs — this is a timely reminder that staying alert at busy airports is non-negotiable.

Here's what to do every time you fly through SGN 👇
✅ Never leave luggage unattended — not even for 30 seconds
✅ Keep valuables in carry-on only — never in checked bags
✅ Use a luggage lock on all checked bags
✅ Take a photo of your luggage before check-in — for identification
✅ Stay alert in crowded areas — arrivals hall, baggage claim, taxi queue
✅ Report suspicious activity immediately to airport security
✅ Use official taxis or Grab only — avoid unsolicited offers outside the terminal

New rule on the Ha Giang Loop. June 1, 2026. ⚠️
Border Area Entry Permits are now strictly enforced for ALL international travelers riding through Ha Giang's border districts — including D**g Van, Yen Minh, Quan Ba, Lo Lo Village and surrounding areas.
Cost: ~$10. Required whether you booked a tour or going solo. Checkpoints are active across the entire loop — missing this permit means getting turned back or fined on the road.
What to do right now 👇
On a tour → confirm with your agency the permit is included
Going solo → secure paperwork before entering border districts
Everyone → carry originals in a waterproof bag. Bring local cash.
The Ha Giang Loop is still the most spectacular motorcycle journey in Southeast Asia. A $10 permit doesn't change that. Being unprepared does.
