Flight booked. Bags almost packed. And then — the payment screen freezes, or your card just gets rejected.

If your Vietnam eVisa payment failed, you're not alone, and in most cases you haven't lost your money. Here's what's usually going on:

🏦 International payments not enabled — many banks auto-block overseas transactions. A quick call to enable international/government payments usually fixes it.

💳 Insufficient balance — the visa fee is small, but conversion + bank fees can push the total slightly higher. Keep a buffer.

🌐 Browser or session timeout — the official portal doesn't play nice with every browser. Chrome or Firefox on desktop works best; Safari and mobile browsers fail most often.

🚫 Unsupported or restricted cards — prepaid, virtual, or some locally issued cards get rejected outright.

⚠️ System errors on the immigration portal — sometimes it's not you. The server gets overloaded during peak hours or holidays.

None of this means your trip is at risk. But when you're staring at a countdown to departure and a payment error, the last thing you need is to keep guessing which of these is the problem.
