On 28 October, Magnolia has a short meet in BUV's (British University Vietnam) campus in Hanoi along with the Youth Center of Antalya, Turkey.

As part of our growing commitment to education and sustainability, Magnolia is now forming partnerships with universities and schools to design educational travel programs and study trips across Vietnam, to our project sites. These programs connect academic learning with community-based experiences, allowing students to engage directly with sustainability in action.

This initiative reflects SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, building long-term collaboration between Universities, Organizations, and Communities toward shared sustainability.

🌾 Man Kháu – On the Flow of Water | Pù Luông, Thanh Hóa

In the quiet of Hang Dơi (Bat Cave), a group of travelers from Turkey sang their hearts out — a spontaneous moment of prayer and gratitude echoing through the ancient stone walls.

It was as if their voices joined the sound of flowing water, carrying with them the same message of peace, connection, and respect for nature.

Here in Pù Luông, Man Kháu is more than a journey — it’s a reminder that no matter where we come from, we all share the same flow of life.

🌿 Wrapping Up A Journey of Water, Rice, and Hope in Pù Luông

More than a recap, it’s a reflection of how collective efforts and shared purpose can keep the flow of culture and livelihood alive.

From the very first days of listening to the community’s stories, to hands-on trainings, the “banana pit” wastewater management model, and the final handover of the “Man Kháu – Rice Up” community exhibition, the project “Preserving Pù Luông’s Rice Culture through Water Management in Tourism sector” marks a journey of over a year in which Magnolia has worked hand in hand with the Đôn Village community safeguarding the sources of life, the invaluable indigenous knowledge, and the flow of sustainable tourism that embodies the spirit of “Keeping up with the Flow, Growing up with the Sprout.”

A Promise to Pù Luông ❤️

The "Man Kháu" exhibition has now closed its physical doors, but this is not an ending. It is a promise.

It is our promise that the beautiful exhibition space, built from the skill and heart of the Đôn Village community, is now being placed into their hands. This is more than a handover; it is the act of returning a story to its rightful storytellers. We are honored to entrust this living heritage to its community guardians, who will continue to preserve and share it.

It is our promise that the new tourism products and skills that were developed during this journey will continue to be supported as sustainable livelihoods for the local people.

And most importantly, it is our promise that the pride, confidence, and spirit of ownership that blossomed within the Đôn Village community will continue to be nurtured.

"Man Kháu" was the tangible result of our "Keeping up the Flow" mission. Now, we are fully committed to the next chapter: "Growing up with the Sprout." The exhibition may be over, but the journey to support a sustainable future for Pù Luông is just beginning.

A Huge Thank You to the Press! 📰

We are absolutely thrilled and humbled to see the story of our "Man Kháu" exhibition being shared so widely, with features in six different press outlets since our opening!

A heartfelt thank you to all the journalists and editors who took the time to travel to Pù Luông, listen to the community's story, and share our journey. Your support is crucial in helping the voice of this incredible community-led project reach a wider audience.

We love seeing the name "Man Kháu" in print! As a fascinating cultural detail for everyone, while it's often mistakenly translated as "pregnant rice grain - gạo mang bầu" the actual meaning is "pregnant rice plant - lúa mang bầu." This distinction is so important as it celebrates the entire living plant in its most hopeful stage, perfectly capturing the "Growing up with the Sprout" key message of our project.

The Final Key: A Thank You from the Heart of Man Kháu ❤️

More than words can say, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to the community, our partners, and every one of you who visited and became part of our story. As we reach the end of this chapter, we know that this living heritage will continue to be nurtured.

This journey was a symphony of collaboration, and it would not have been possible without the incredible people who shared our vision.

We are immensely grateful for our visionary partners who believed in this project: Youth4Climate, an initiative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security. It was an honor to be one of 50 awardees selected from over 2,000 applicants worldwide.

Key #11: The Vision of a Leader - A Lesson in Trust from Pù Luông

What is the true measure of a successful community project? It's not just about the final output. It's about the journey of trust, understanding, and shared vision.

Our "Man Kháu" project was privileged to have a dedicated supporter, Mr. Hà Huy Giáp, the Head of Đôn Village. But this partnership wasn't built overnight.

Mr. Giáp candidly shared with us that in the beginning, he and the community had their doubts and concerns. This skepticism is a natural and important part of any new initiative. However, through the process of collaboration, the in-depth interviews, the hands-on workshops, and seeing the project come to life that initial uncertainty transformed into trust.

He saw that the project's core purpose was not to impose, but to listen; not to change, but to preserve. His hope is now that "Man Kháu" will truly succeed in its mission to preserve the invaluable wet rice culture of his people for future generations.

As the "Man Kháu" exhibition spends its final day with us, we are preparing to perform our most important act: handing over this living heritage to the Đôn Village community.

This is not just an ending, but the ultimate expression of our "Community-First" philosophy, placing the legacy directly into the hands of its rightful guardians.

⭐️ The Harvest of Hopes 💛

Do you know the inspiration behind the "Wishing Tree" at the end of the Man Kháu journey?

🌱 It comes from a simple yet profound Thai ritual. Before each new season, farmers would place a specially split bamboo stick into the pot of soaking rice seeds, a gesture symbolizing a deep wish for a plant heavy with grain and an abundant harvest .

We brought this beautiful ritual of sowing hope into the exhibition. And the "harvest" has been breathtaking. Our "Tree for the Next Season" has now become a living work of art, heavy with wishes, reflections, and seeds of hope for nature, for the community, and for ourselves, left by visitors from all over. It has become a harvest of our collective dreams.

This isn't just a place to make a wish. It's a chance to add your voice to a beautiful, growing prayer for the future.
