We’ve wanted to experience this hotel ever since it opened. Capella Hanoi really has become one of stars of the hotel world in Vietnam. Crafted by the ingenious hotel designer Bill Bensley, who never fails to impress with his ability to draw the eyes to even the smallest details. At Capella Hanoi inspiration is drawn from the nearby Opera House which helps to create a fantasy that transports guests back to the 1920’s and the days of the Opera House’s heyday. Last week at Zensu Luxury Travel, we did a little research trip up to Northern Vietnam. First stop was Ha Long Bay, well Lan Ha Bay to be exact, Ha Long’s lesser known cousin. The same gorgeous scenery but without the crowds. We took a 2n cruise on the incredible Heritage Line Ylang. A true luxury ship with gorgeously designed cabins that are amongst the largest we have seen anywhere. A laid back itinerary which allows for guests to discover the bay at their own pace, we even had a stunning beach to ourselves for a whole afternoon. The food was pretty spectacular too.
